It took me awhile to find out that Chris Evans was in Scott Pilgrim as well. Its pretty crazy how much range Chris Evans has.

Marvel is fine, but it needs to be balanced with other projects. A healthy media landscape can't be propped up on superheroes alone.

Let's elevate other types of movies, and narrow the spotlight a little on Marvel. All or nothing is a stupid mentality when coexisting is an option.

I like that marvel is diverse enough that even their many superheroes are in different genres ie the netflix shows having different tones than the jokey marvel movies. Even the marvel shows tackled serious matters

I can see how this movie inspired Spiderman's creation, from the cheese to the campiness to the acting. Its like Spiderman before the higher budget and such

Decades before Liam Neeson was doing his action movie thing with Takens, he was in this very weird movie. Long before Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man, this strange movie came out.

Its about a guy who gets his skin burned off by the mob and develops super powers somehow?

The movie feels like a mix of The Shadow and those classic 1930s esque comic book anti heroes with dark protagonists, while simultaneously capitalizing on the success of the new tim burton batman which released a year before. It even has Danny Elfman as the music composer, I was wondering why the soundtrack sounded familiar.

This vexes me but Why did quintis help maximus at the end? In the beginning of the movie he helps to betray maximus, now he helps him? If he had just helped him in the first place it could have avoided the entire movie
