No middle school in Canada. We go straight from grade 7 to grade 8.

I do remember my grade 7 teacher though, he was a hippie who drove a Volkswagen Bus and was obsessed with space. Later in life I found out that he was a massive stoner and so much of his mannerisms made more sense.

I dont think its weird when you consider most people who draw that kind of thing are attracted to a character and not so much their physical attributes. That sounds weird but it happens a lot. People get hung up on a characters personality or story and something, be it natural or dysfunction, extends the association with the character into that zone. Its why theres so much porn of characters who are drawn completely unattractive and with silly proportions like adventure time or Steven universe

Its like weird fetishized familiarity, so people go with the appearance they are most familiar with. People are fucking weird
