I think May is a great guitarist and Freddie is a great entertainer with a unique voice. But their music doesn't do much for me. I think they are a great act but I don't know. I think their radio singles content is great. But their albums cuts are middling. An S tier band in my mind has great album cuts. And are great live or on recording. We didn't have a big enough school system to have a bunch of honors or AP offerings. There were some, but not many. The school system put a lot of work into making sure the "general" curriculum was pretty good though. I took woodshop every year in high school for instance and outside of honors English in 10th and 11th grade, AP US history was my only other special class. I was in gifted from first grade through 8th, but we didn't have gifted program in HS. I didn't take much interest in my grades. So, I just did average. The irony was outside of math, I was considered among the handful of smartest kids in school. I was bored to death and nearly got shipped to boarding school. --- You know how fads are. HS was 99-03. Small rural system too. I mean, I'm from West Virginia. Most people knew good grades and college scholarships represented the best way out or the best way into the few decent jobs around. All you have to do is pull like a 3.0 or something out of HS, and you get free tution to in-state colleges.
