My city's (Boston) poop data is public. But it's clear it's not a great measure, the data gets very noisy. It shows general trends, but it's not as useful as you would think.

Large organizations test employees who are vaccinated and take other steps to stay negative.
Random testing is not a thing in Chicago.
The current antibody test has not been tested on variants.

I think that it is more than collecting data. I think that you need to generate the data. You need to arrange for collection of specimens and you need to have an agreement with the donors than you can retest them if necessary.

You need to perform the tests and evaluate the tests. This is something that the WHO, CDC or a large hospital like University of Chicago Hospital system could manage. Me?

Also the tenants organization is trying to negotiate with the city because thousands are affected by this. It means peeps coming into our homes as prospective renters and us going into peeps home as prospective renters. If just 10% of us in this group wind up with coronavirus from engaging in this forced upon us risky behavior, then everyone who considers himself righteous and above us in the group of unfortunates is risked by the rising positivity.

I sent an email to Metropolitan Tenants with the notes asking whether there is a third option. I called this morning and I can reach their voice mail. They take your contact info and promise to get back to you. Did I mention that my rent is autopaid on the first of the month?

I wonder if this is part of a lil demonstration of power by Trumpanzies against the repeal of rent-control-cannot-be-discussed act. My neighborhood voted to repeal rent control c-b-d overwhelmingly. I wonder how many real estate firms around the state are doing this. If you live in Illinois, you have until the 30 to get your 60 or 120 days to move out. If you say nothing, you get nothing.

My unit is not listed for rent on their site but they gave me a week to accept their month to month. Big problem is that April is the best time to look and I missed it. Now the available listings will be everyone who does not accept the month to month offer. Not only will listings be sparce but I will be taking a home away from someone in my shoes.

Everyone else is just packing. The other tenants have lived in the building longer so are more fed up than I am with the management. 30 days is enough to find a tenant but 30 days is not enough to find an apartment and move into it. It looks like I will have to take the 60 days unless the management is willing to put in writing that I can have 60 days to move if they give notice.

Living in a wealth country pays off. We have the vaccine (kind of). Canada lowered the age to 40. (already 16 in Illinois). Canadian friend filled out 30 online vaccine forms before he found a location with 2 vacancies.

I am guessing that he used the browser fill function and the Canadian locations use a standardized form but still. I am impressed.

I think the problem in Detroit and Chicago is that the fed distribution by population does not count students, tourists and tourists who never left. I do not even think that the acknowledged undocumented resident percentage of 10% was taken into account.
