College is a scam in the sense that student loans and the American standard of getting its citizens into debt early on and making them work it off for the next 30 years is shitty, but the benefits of tertiary education - for your career, personality and worldview - are incredible and potentially life-changing.

Student loans are a scam, college - as in an actual academic institution, not a for-profit shithole - is great. Confuse the two, and you risk furthering the political divide in America.

I know about omegaverse mostly from the Lindsay Ellis videos about the omegaverse lawsuit. But I've also been on the internet since I was like 10, and I've seen a lot of weird shit over the years. Shit that I don't understand how people can view it sexually, like inflation and vore, and rule 34 and fanfiction that ties the anatomical reality of how animals fuck into anthropomorphised human/animal hybrid characters.

It's like, just give the characters a human dick. They're basically just people anatomically outside of like fur, face and teeth. Giving them animal dicks and making them cum like animals is particularly disturbing. Never really got into it, it's weird.

Alpha/Beta/Omega stuff is fucked up on another two fronts: it's based on junk science that was tainted by the wolves being in captivity, which the original scientist apologized for years later as wolf research progressed, and the abbreviation A/B/O - or ABO without the slashes - is a racial slur against indigenous Australians.

Basically, fuck Cassie Claire and honestly fuck Omegaverse too. It's fucked up and weird.

I bought that recent Guilty Gear humble bundle. I already have a couple games from it, so I'm giving away the steam codes for the ones I already have.

The games that are up for grabs are as follows:

• Guilty Gear: The Missing Link - this is the first Guilty Gear game, and while it's stylish as fuck, it's very much a PS1 sprite-based fighting game made by a company breaking into the fighting game market. It's got style and edge to spare, and the music FUCKS - the next three games in the franchise build on and improve upon the songs from this first release exponentially, kinda like hearing Guile's theme evolve from SNES to PS4.
• Guilty Gear X2 #Reload - the baseline console release of Guilty Gear X2: The Midnight Carnival. This came out around 2005-2006, late PS2/Xbox era. The sprite work compared to the first game is lightyears ahead of what it was, and the music is basically at its peak here. It's an incredibly fun game, and it's stretched to fit the screen so you're getting the prime Guilty Gear experience.
• Guilty Gear XX Accent Core + R - this is the Ultimate Street Fighter 4 to #Reload's vanilla Street Fighter 4. New story mode to my understanding, new characters, more sprite colors and balances and tweaks that make Accent Core + R the definitive Guilty Gear game pre-Xrd.

The Weakerthans, Maria Mena, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Missy Higgins, Gorillaz, The Weeknd, Sara Bareilles (Love Song notwithstanding, I fucking hate that song), Brandi Carlile, JPEGMAFIA and Jonathan Coulton - ten great artists who rose to prominence during the Millenial generation. One comedian, sure, but with incredible covers and original songs that stand on their own outside of the memey hits. And those are the artists I specifically like, didn't go with Adele or Lorde because I'm not really into them.

I wasn't enthused about E3 2020 because there were reports it was going to be an influencer shitfit in the wake of CDPR getting that massive reaction to Keanu Reeves.

But then COVID hit.

I hope they've moved away from that direction, and they're down to give us the E3 presentation we're used to. Because idk about you guys, but I could really use some of that right now.
