I enjoyed his arc from a guy who kept getting his ass kicked and kept running away to a guy who stepped up for his family and became a bad ass. B. Liu kang didn't train himself to shoot fireballs, he unlocked his power which was pretty damn cool. Anyway, as someone who's played damn near every MK game, i enjoyed the movie. We didn't need to see an actual tournament right away because that's been done already. Seeing the buildup to the tournament was cool and we will probably see the tournament in the next movie. It was awesome seeing Scorpion teaming up with Cole to kick SubZero's ass. Seeing the same shit at gas stations and other stores. Supposedly the local health department was going to fine any business for not enforcing the mask mandate or not following the health protocols but that hasn't happened and calling the health department does no good.
