Water got spilled several months back and I had to install a new power button before it would work again. But the battery worked fine after that for weeks to months. The laptop overall is from 2016ish so I was not surprised if the battery just died. It started powering off when not connected to AC adapter and says battery not detected on the windows battery icon. I have been able to still use the laptop if plugged into the AC adapter but as soon as I disconnect it shuts off. bought a new battery, installed it today. It still says battery not detected, however now if I take out the AC power cord, the laptop stays on. So I know the new battery is actually working. How do I get Windows 10 to recognize the battery?
