I barely made it out of the neighborhood when I had to turn back home. The feeling gets worse the closer to home you get as well.

Hardline in with an ethernet cable right into the back of your machine to the router. I only use Wifi on my gaming rig because I'm really close to the router and have an Intel Killer WiFi switch built into the thing.
