I am a SW guy, but I don't really watch anything animated at all, and I was watching my nephews for a few days and wanted to watch something tolerable so we picked Clone Wars and I got just as hooked as they did. | MabusIncarnate 02/18/21 10:02:06 PM #19 | I jump around a lot, but currently playing TheHunter - Call of the Wild on Xbox, Immortals - Fenyx Rising on Xbox, Golf Story on Switch, and Ni No Kuni on Switch. TheHunter is probably the best hunting sim ever, I fish irl, but I don't hunt because I couldn't bring myself to shoot an animal that wasn't threatening me or my livestock, but it's crazy deep, has a lot of maps, weapons to unlock and it's been a great time sink. Immortals is great, it's a nice change up from the Assassins Creed model, and picks up on a lot of Breath of the Wild aspects. I'm not that far yet, but liking it a lot. Golf Story is fun, I like golf games, especially the retro ones, and this blends that with a cool little RPG story with good humor. Ni No Kuni is entirely out of character for me, I don't like anime, I don't play JRPGs but I always kind of liked the older turn based RPGs. I got it on sale because I was feeling like an RPG and a lot of people on CE bring it up often and praise it, I don't get why I like it so much but I do, it's disgustingly cute and that's not my style either. I've traveling a lot, and where i'm mainly staying the internet is trash and using the streaming app constantly disconnects. My laptop only has an HDMI output port, so linking it from the Xbox to the laptop is a no-go. I'm looking at video capture cards, which allow HDMI in via USB, and i'm wondering if I can just basically use it as an adaptor for what i'm trying to do, not really interested in recording anything, just to use my laptop as the monitor so i'm not lugging a big television around each time I go out of town.
