That is fucking hilarious. I think I want to play the game with the glitches and all just to get a good laugh before they patch the game (probably around February I suppose).

Informative! Does CW still stream the newest episodes on their website or did that go away once they signed with Netflix?

@SmidgeIsntBack

CW shows air the NEXT day on the CW app & website (CWTV) after they air on traditional TV.

https://www.cwtv.com/shows/

^THIS. You can use a Roku or whatever other streaming device to see the shows on TV using the CW app.

Pronouns are useful in conversation. Making sure we use the correct pronouns is respectful.

I'm calling people by their NAME (names are nouns) if I am speaking to them face to face or through e-mail, like 99% of people do.

I mean, it's quite obvious why... their demographic does not watch traditional TV, it's almost entirely smartphones and streaming.

^THIS.
As someone who regularly watches most CW shows (see my sig below) it's VERY rare that I see CW shows live as they are airing on TV. 98% of the time I tend to wait the next day when the new episode shows up on the CW app for streaming and the vast majority of the time I will use my Roku to watch anything on the CW app on a big screen TV (on the rare occasion I'll watch the episodes on a phone if I am away). I don't watch CW on traditional TV (so I don't factor into their TV ratings), but I do watch them a lot on the CW app streaming on my Roku.

This is how most CW fans (like myself) watch CW shows:

My work recently had a guest speaker that brought up the topic of pronouns in the work place. What he suggested people start doing is in their email signature / general conversation to say your preferred pronoun. This way it becomes a common thing to do, and doesn't single out those that need to use it. (AKA - it takes the pressure off of them to bring it up first, because others are already bringing it up)

In both general conversation and e-mails people tend to refer to each other by their NAMES which happen to be NOUNS. When I talk to someone I call them by their NAME (which is a noun), I don't refer to them as their pronoun. 99.99% of people refer to others by their NAMES (which happen to be nouns), not by their pronouns, regardless of who they are. Referring to someone by their name is the best way to show someone courtesy and be friendly towards them.

G.I Joe and He-man actually did GOOD and HELPFUL PSAs at the end of their episodes during the 80's.

Example # 1: "Don't give strangers your address". Some pedo tricks some kid into giving him his address. Luckily, Roadblock from G.I Joe shows up and the pedo speeds away. Roadblock then strongly emphasizes that kids shouldn't give out their address or any other personal information to strangers. That advice still applies today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFthiZ_Jftc

Example # 2: He-man & The Masters of the Universe: don't do hard drugs. Hard drugs don't make your problems go away in the long run, they create bigger problems in the long run. This is advice that still applies today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYEDrNC9AWQ

Other cartoons did PSAs like this.... HELPFUL PSAs which could apply to anyone of any generation. And they did it very effectively with good storytelling.

New York Times wrote a bullshit article and then they got the attention of Mastercard and Visa which is now forcing that certain website to delete a shit load of it's stuff. If anyone wants to point fingers at who is responsible for this bullshit, it's the New York Times (which takes 95% of the blame. The other 5% of the blame goes to the 0.01% of assholes who were uploading stuff they were NOT suppose to, which only made up 0.01% of that website, and mods on that site not acting fast enough to take it down).

On a side note, I know that this is a console topic but I just wanted to mention this third-party PC only controller (and there is a reason why it never came to consoles. It's NOT good at all):
The Intel wireless series gamepad. This fucking thing looks like it can be used to choke someone out. Or maybe it can be used as a mini toilet seat for toilet training. Good grief...

I did, and I've been gaming since the early 80s. The N64 wasn't built for human shaped hands.

@pfh1001

You are suppose to hold the Nintendo 64 controller in a certain way depending on what type of game you are playing. If for EXAMPLE you are playing a first-person shooter like Golden Eye, then you hold it the way seen in the first pic below (and there is the "Z Trigger" underneath which makes it easy for one's pointer finger to use it like a gun trigger, which was perfect for first person shooters).

If one is playing a fighting type game like, for EXAMPLE, a wrestling game (WWF No Mercy, WCW / NWO Revenge, etc) you hold the controller like the third / last picture below.

Some other games gave the option of using the way the controller is held in the middle second pic below (the Turok games gave players that optional control scheme to play their games in that way).

The Nintendo 64 controller was VERY COMFORTABLE and EASY to use if you used it in the correct way for whatever game you were playing. Most Instruction manuals and some games that had in-game tutorials or had the controls listed in an in-game menu would show how to hold the N-64 controller for their game.

than they did 3 years ago, mid way through the current gen.

I have no numbers account for the PS4/Xbox One launch, but certain it was higher.

2 years ago when I was active, we had 1800 people at night, 2200 during the peak hours (US time)

4 weeks ago we were recording 1200 people during peak time, 880 during off hours.

Now we are in peak time at just over 1700 people.

I think we'll rise a little higher at the launch with player counts dwindling in years afterwards.

Trend pointing to people mass leaving, what do? bye felicia?

IF Gamefaqs closes, I can understand why.
The majority of the users left on this site are insufferable and very toxic and have chased off A LOT of the normal people over the years. Yes, it's pretty bad (the account I am using is from 2005, but I've been lurking on this site since 1997) and I've seen a lot of bulls*** over the years where normal people get bullied and even moderated over bulls*** but trolls walk away fine.
That's the MAIN reason numbers of users have dropped dramatically.
While I will NOT miss the message boards (well, to a degree. There are a FEW boards and users on Gamefaqs who I think are awesome. Also, as bad as Gamefaqs can get, it's 100% better than Reddit, Resetera, etc), there is something I will miss and that is...

If the site closes, I hope it'll be saved in its most recent form in an easily accessible way. It'd be awful if we just lost all the walkthroughs and reviews here.

The walkthroughs and reviews and even the code sections here are VERY valuable. I know a lot of people just check Youtube these days but the written walkthroughs especially are very important and contain info not found anywhere else and are exclusive to this site. I feel it would be important for the FAQs (written walkthroughs), codes, and reviews to be backed up on some other website incase Gamefaqs goes down.

^ ALL THIS.
I remember back in March we went into a lockdown and all we had to do was stay indoors (or in some others cases, wear a mask and do social distancing) for a few weeks and we would have been good.
What happens?

Two weeks... TWO mother fucking weeks into quarantine, people are bitching and complaining and protesting about being locked down.... many over political reasons... which then causes a domino effect of shit show after shit show to happen.
And because it's a fucking election year, BOTH of the main political sides (and I am placing TONS of blame on BOTH sides) are playing a pissing contest with each other while people get sick and some are even dying.
What the flying fuck!!!

Even from a financial standpoint, I eventually got unemployment (TONS of extra money with it) a $1,200 stimulus check, and there are tons of ways to get financial assistance if one has a business or needs a little extra help.
But no, some people couldn't stand being in doors for more than two mother fucking weeks and decided to fuck everything up in multiple ways for everyone else (even resulting in others losing their unemployment as they were prematurely forced back to work in the middle of a fucking pandemic).

This coronavirus problem is a MEDICAL issue, this never should have been turned into a political issue. Because it got turned into a political issue, that's why this virus that should have vanished (or at least permanently flattened hard enough to the point of being irrelevant and rare) by the end of May is currently out of control and appears that it may get much worse and threatens to make more people sick and kill others.

^All this.
Also, I agree that this virus fiasco should have never been turned into a political issue, it's a damn medical issue, but it got turned into a political issue and we are all now in danger because of this.

I don't know how you can say we're taking more precautions than ever when we're about to open up schools and colleges across the country

Especially schools. Some of the grade schools in Georgia are fucked up right now with a bit over 1,000 kids and teachers being quarantined very recently and it's only been two weeks of school over there so far in the districts that already opened. It will get much worse before August ends.
