Azur Lane has announced a new collab.

They collabed with the WWF last year too. It's when Saratoga got her sailor/marine wildlife skin. From what I know, this year is panda skins for Ning Hai and Ping Hai.

My CD period is done for joining a clan, so I'm now in the CE clan. My player name is Zeth.

Alright. I just left my current clan, so I'm in the cooldown period, but I'll let you know when I've applied tomorrow.

@Calwings Is there space in the CE clan at the moment? I don't mind being in a casual clan, but my current clan only has 5-6 members logging in for the past couple of days, so I figure it might be better to look for a new one.

Feel like it might be slowing down too much but as it was I did feel I was always going to be struggling to keep up having not started at soft launch.
Soft launch is not a significant advantage, and that advantage will shrink as the game gets older. There were no events during soft launch at all, so the only advantages those players have are time to level and gem hoard. Levels should be added a slower rate than you will level up even with the accelerated schedule. The gem hoard difference is significant only for those players who were top PVP during soft launch due to daily ranking rewards, as the daily mission rewards total up to about 700 gems IIRC, which isn't even enough for 5 singles. And you won't be facing those top PVPers in your Arena, because your bracket was almost certainly created after their bracket filled up.

Whaling creates a bigger advantage that F2P soft launch did. A player starting after official launch technically has a larger gap to overcome compared to official launch vs soft launch, because they will have missed rate up banners. And honestly, those people that did min-max starting from soft launch were likely going to be ahead of you anyways, because they would have min-maxed even if they started from official launch. You'd just have the illusion of a level playing field.

Uggh did they change the memory shard drop rate for Hard stages? I swear I got an okay amount of them until the event, and now I've been getting dreadful luck with them.
AFAIK memory shard drop rate for regular stages hasn't changed. It should still be 50%, so if you're not getting as many as you were before, you're just on a bad luck streak.

Once I have a goal set, I won't stop until I achieve it, no matter how impractical or impossible it may be.
My first paragraph wasn't really about that. It was mostly a reaction to your 'all that oil wasted' comment. The oil is going towards a short-term goal of leveling your current fleet so you can do harder maps, and towards the long term goal of PR grinding. That's not a waste of oil, that's what it's supposed to be used for, and there's no reason to get depressed about it. I probably could have worded the first paragraph better.

I did miss that you'd done the grind for Neptune before, but your post kind of came across as a typical 'why does PR take so long' newbie post that I used to see on Reddit, so I was trying to explain why you shouldn't worry about it taking so long.

If you're only just on world 8, and have to manual to not die, you shouldn't be that worried about grinding PR exp. PR grind is a long term goal and part of the end game for Azur Lane, and it really doesn't sound like you're there yet. So it'll be done when it's done, and it's unlikely you can spare the cubes and coins for building them yet anyways (Mainz will be 20k coins and 5 cubes, FdG is 60k coins and 10 cubes).

Just to note, your strategy of full clearing the map with a single fleet is actually really inefficient. You shouldn't be full clearing maps except once for the appropriate star rank. Just clear enough mobs so that the boss spawns and you can reach it. Yes, there is a small oil cost to re-enter the stage each time, but you won't be fighting half of the time with a fleet that only does 50% damage because they are out of ammo, which may be why you have to manually fight the boss. You can pick the battles that give the most exp, and will be able to get more exp per oil overall because you'll be fighting the boss more often, which always gives the most exp.

Also, enemy spawns are random, not fixed, and it's the fleet size that affects the exp gained, not the type of fleet. Fleet size is seen by the number of triangles that are on the enemy fleets upper left corner, and dictates how long the fight is going to be. Going off of your numbers above, you probably had 5 large fleets (3 triangles), 4 medium fleets (2 triangles) and a small fleet (1 triangle) spawn the time you calculated your exp. Since enemy sizes and fleet types are random, you won't necessarily get the same spawns the next time you run the map.

Question about Tirpitz...Can you get her through the Divergent Chessboard in the War Archives, or do I have to wait for a rerun? Because I know it says you get her through the event shop, but the Archives don't seem to have that :<
The War Archive doesn't have a shop, and once an event is in the Archives it will never be rerun again. The only way to get Tirpitz right now is to get lucky in the Heavy gacha.

Shards are used for unlocking and ascension. If you get enough, you can unlock the girl if you haven't pulled her in the gacha yet, or if you have pulled her you can increase her star rating and stats.

I'd use them so you have some more solid characters to use. I tried going with only Makoto and the starters for a while, but Karyl is bad all around and Pecorine isn't a decent tank until you can ascend her to 2 stars, but there are other tanks better than her.
Karyl is decent in PVP for now, and an OK mage option for non-boss PVE, though both are contingent on getting her to higher stars, which costs dungeon coins that are probably better spent elsewhere for new players (i.e. Yukari or Nozomi).

At the very least, investing in the starters isn't a bad option, since they should be among the first 6 stars that get unlocked. Though I do agree that Veggeta should do some rolls for other characters, since the starters are a bit too Magikarp-y to rely on entirely.

You get 1 CP per 300 stamina spent, and will get a notification that lets you go to CB once you get 1 CP. It doesn't matter whether you use skip tickets or not. I got all 3 of my CP today using primarily skip tickets.

I think it's a possible event, based off of a Google search, but isn't part of the normal rotation.

Edit: A bit more information on drop rates from the JP server, it seems that it's specific enemies in the fight that drop the listed items, and you can't 'reroll' the fight to reset drops to game the system: https://www.reddit.com/r/Priconne/comments/81lj4f/psa_drops_seem_to_be_fixed_to_certain_enemies/

It's possible that things could be different on the global server, but I think that's probably unlikely, since I believe Cygames is still involved in the global release.

Not saying that formula is wrong, but I get other stuff (as in not the 3 listed) WAAAAY more than 4% of the time.
AFAIK, the drop rates from the listed items are independent from the drop rates of non-listed items. You don't add them up like that.

This reddit post has more information, based off of client datamines: https://www.reddit.com/r/Priconne/comments/ki5kps/efficient_farming_principles_tools_datamined_drop/

For Normal stages, the drop rates for the listed items are 36%/36%/24%. This usually means the first place something becomes available is one of the better places to farm it, as new items usually get listed in the first 2 slots. Edit: For Hard stages, all listed item drops have a drop rate of 72%. I'm not sure if the shard drop rate is the same or not though.

The extra bond and XP items you get from skip tickets have no impact on the drop rate, as those are the equivalent XP and bond you would get by running the stage normally.
