By the time Funimation got the chance to fix the English dub the damage had pretty much been done. It is still popular, but I think had FUNI got a hold of it originally rather than 4kids it would have been bigger than Naruto in America, or at least as popular. One day out of curiosity I looked up the plot of the manga to see what it was about and thought it was pretty interesting I heard the original anime was just a dumbed down monster of the week series and that Crybaby was more faithful to the source material so I went with the latter And now I'm going to go watch Death Note to cheer myself up --- Rehab is for quitters. |
