Yeah that was probably one of the biggest reasons why I disliked Halo 5. And I actually kinda like Atriox and the Banished from Halo Wars 2. Though I'm both happy and kinda disappointed that they're returning to the more classic artstyle. Yes the old artstyle was better in almost every way IMO but after having the new artstyle for the two first games in the trilogy, it's kinda jarring for such a drastic change in the last game of the trilogy. I mean, Infinite doesn't seem like it even belongs in this trilogy. It doesn't have a number in its title, and in the first gameplay trailer we get to see that we're suddenly fighting against the Banished and not the Created/Prometheans. I know Halo 5's story/ending was pretty bad but can't they at least actually follow up on what happened after what It feels like they're trying to stay away as far as possible from Halo 5. I dunno man, much like the sequel Star Wars trilogy, this 'Reclaimer trilogy' feels so inconsistent even in its own trilogy. Ok change the artstyle if you want to do that but at least have the decency to stick with it to the end or don't change it at all. /wall of text --- |
