revolutions has some good stuff but there's also a lot of pointless crap and it totally fails at being a satisfying conclusion to the story. instead of going with "reality is actually another matrix" to explain neo's powers (which would have been a cool plot twist), we're going with NEO IS JESUS.

neither sequel comes anywhere close to being as good as the original (and i think the original is overrated).

"trump constantly shits all over the core libertarian principles? i don't give a shit because he's still TEAM BLUE!" i might be wrong but i think dore is actually legitimately bitter and frustrated about the democrats and that's why he goes after them so hard.

that being said, dore shouldn't just bash the DNC when trump is actively doing harm to the US, obviously.

ok, i watched this video and... i don't think it's that problematic? dore is essentially saying that trump bases a lot of his policy on what people he likes and respects are saying. this is true, we've seen plenty of examples of it: tucker, ivanka, kim kardashian. so when tucker manages to say something that's not idiotic for once ("a US conflict with iran would be dumb"), that actually has a positive outcome. yeah, i agree that the title is silly and overly simplistic - there was probably a lot more to this than just "tucker stops war with iran" - but i'm kinda used to youtube video titles being bad so i can't get too mad over this.

i actually think my main issue with what dore is saying is "there's two republican parties." that's also overly simplistic. i get that he wants to make the point that both main parties in the US suck - and they do. but there's still fundamental differences between the repubs and the dems.

also, i don't get wtf he's talking about at the end when he's going "youtube is not banning the new york times channel but WE'RE the dangerous ones!" uh, they're not banning your channel either? don't become one of those "i'm on youtube complaining about how youtube is silencing me" people, dude. that's dumb.

but yeah, overall, i don't think this is a great example of dore being terrible. the "promoting the seth rich conspiracy theory" thing was a lot worse!

this topic reminded me that there's this dutch jazz fusion keyboard player who goes by "stormvogel" (which translates to "petrel") and he wants everyone, including his friends and family, to call him that. and from what i can tell (from seeing him live and listening to interviews with him), everyone actually does this and it's not a problem.

so yeah, if stuff like this isn't a problem, i can't imagine that jack wanting to be called "jill" or whatever should be a huge issue.

still, hiring a lawyer is probably very expensive so i wouldn't be too happy if i had to resort to this.
