I'm actually kind of sad the second game will be Ragnarok. I just beat the first not too long ago and expected the second game to be the three year Long Winter with the trilogy wrapping up with Ragnarok.

The trailer seemed to have a lot of snow in it so maybe that's there too?

I think it's this unfortunately. It's just the upcoming crossgen games that get a free remaster.

The bundle specifically mentions a remastered edition so there is a PS5 version of it but no word if it's free for existing owners.

The reason is Sony paid them. Both consoles are so similar if a game isn't on both this is what happened.

Xbox pit their exclusives on PC making them not exclusive. Sony and (unfortunately I have to admit this) Ninentdo did very well you keep exclusivity to drive up sales.

Selling Xbox games on PC is a tactic Microsoft are very much doing on purpose. No company really makes that much money on hardware sales. In some cases they even lose money. Selling games, subscriptions and accessories is how they make money and Microsoft does not need you to buy a console to do that. Xbox isn't a brand limited to console sales anymore. It's also a PC app, a cloud streaming service, a video game publisher and a subscription platform.
