I feel like that collection is mostly targeted at Xbox players considering crossing over. It's basically a last gen greatest hits of titles, many of which you couldn't get on Xbox. If I had an Xbox last-gen and not a PlayStation, it would actually be a pretty compelling offering in terms of beefing up my game options at launch.

It's not a bad collection of games or anything -- just not as interesting for veteran subscribers. Shame it's being used to prop up the weak launch lineup, though, which feels more calculating than generous.

Yeah, I was sitting there going "...But I already got these games their the same service."

Yeah, and I have to wonder if they'll keep the embarrassing status quo for a long time. Not like they'd give out PS5 games at launch or anything, and they rarely even add upgraded PS2 games.

The PS+ Collection certainly helps the service not be hot garbage like it is now. They already gave out some of those games free, though, so...lol.
