Organizations like the United Nations rely heavily on the US, for example, and every other country in the world would be begging the US for its protection of maritime trade routes and land and air space if the US was not providing it already. There is a reason why many other Western nations and allies dont have to develop and maintain their own huge militaries, despite existing on a planet with various hostile forces.

This doesnt even touch on the impact of finance, medicines and new tech discoveries and innovations that are either produced directly or at least subsidized by the US. You think its just fucking coincidence that so many other countries promote learning English in addition to their own native one?

Ive been meaning to finally check that show out since I saw that she was in the new season, haha. Cillian Murphy is one of my other favorite actors so I should have checked it out already, but its nice to have the added incentive.

Ive watched like two episodes of Peaky Blinders and its a bit intense. It reminds me of Boardwalk Empire, which is also good but sort of exhausting. But its been a while since Ive watched either, so maybe Ill try them again.

There are countless tutorial videos on YouTube right now that show how you can alter your appearance, sometimes drastically, with a change of makeup, hair, clothes and such. You could check with all the women you know as well, and ask them their opinion.

Meh, law doesnt have anything to do with engineering, architecture, anthropology and such. I recognize that my own college degree doesnt help me know how the pyramids might have been built.

I thought it was controversial because its practically a rape scene, at least by our standards today.

Anyway, Im glad it was included for two reasons:

It paints Deckard and Rachaels relationship as a bit complex, what with her being a replicant and Deckard practically forcing himself on her, although she commits to the act a few seconds later. It thus shows her as showing human feelings of attraction and confusion.

It also shows that Deckard is not a typical good guy hero. He might not be doing anything really for moral reasons, and is kind of fumbling through his pursuit of the replicants and fumbling through his feelings for Rachael.

Tbf, I think the first Wonder Woman was superior to Captain Marvel, which IMO was a mediocre movie pushed to the top by the MCU label and it being championed by feminists, so it made a bazillion dollars. If this second Wonder Woman is nearly as good as the first, Ill be happy with it.

If you consider (and accept) the negative impact humans have on climate change, then yes; the world is overpopulated. What we do to house, feed and control our billions of fellow humans has a cost that includes more than just the financial side of things. Whittle those billions down to a few thousand and all of a sudden the planet (i.e. the rest of the flora and fauna of the world) wont be burdened by our overpopulation.

Now, if we are just talking about living space and not considering human comfort levels or climate change, then Hell no; the world is not overpopulated. We could get away with stacking people like sardines in gigantic, multi-tiered cage apartments and figure out ways to colonize our oceans, if we want to go that route. Almost every other animal will probably be extinct, but wed be making use of all that space they used to occupy.

I was thinking lately about how very considerate it was for The Dogfather/Johns father to let us know about his sons passing. He probably had a million other responsibilities and this couldnt have been easy for him, but he still did it. He gave us that bit of closure, when he really didnt have to.
