The bullet hell visuals look very pretty, the music is great... but what the hell is going on with the story/lore? Why is this happening in a bullet-hell game?The most concise way I can put it is, the creator makes just enough story in-game so that fans can speculate the fuck out of it. There is an incident that kicks off a game, the first two stages usually involve browbeating otherwise innocent youkai for more information about it, the rest of the stages involve brute-forcing your way to the culprit and solving the incident... with various rates of success. The extra stages are often a toss-up as to how related to the main story they are. Also, all the characters are girls because the creator of the game decided so. The only named guy in canon is a shop owner who distinctly cannot fight at all, and hes only in the supplementary materials. My personal favorite game is Imperishable Night despite being the easiest one. Its most approachable, has the awesome spell card practice mode, and the story is a bit more self-contained than the others. --- E come vivo? Vivo! |

Because of the 'rona I imagine most of them are virtual right now, and they usually have admissions officers from top schools (Michigan, Harvard, etc.) give lots of tips on what to include, what not to include, and what resources to help you if you're struggling with certain parts. Titles don't mean that much; experience and accomplishments do. As for finding work within your degree... an MBA could get you there, but it's pretty rare. If that's your goal, you probably want another "hard science" degree. EDIT: With a hard science degree, the most dreaded part of the GMAT (math portion) shouldn't be much of a hurdle. Just make sure your English is top-notch, both grammar and communication structure. --- E come vivo? Vivo! |

I'm about to move to Connecticut for my MBA, but I managed to snag a spot in one of the top schools for it. In some places, an MBA is worth only a bit more than the paper it's printed on. As far as GPA goes, the big schools care about it even if it's been a while (because it demonstrates you can handle the academic wringer), but I don't know about mid-sized schools. What matters more is your work history -- not just what your job does but how you've excelled at it -- your recommendations, and your GMAT score. Study your ass off for the GMAT. It's what propelled me from having good grades at a no-name school to an Ivy. If your school doesn't require a GMAT score, it's probably (not definitely) not worth it. Check to see what median post-graduation income is for their class and percentage of people who got jobs within six months. --- E come vivo? Vivo! |

Person who relies entirely on brute force stolen-and-enhanced arcane magic to fight (and usually wins with it) versus one of my fundamental properties is that I no-sell magic but I really dont want to fight you because that isnt my job. Marisa cant win and Death wont win. Marisa will try to fight, figure out she isnt doing crap, and retreat for further study. Remember shes so smart and industrious, she is able to hang with Reimu, who literally has canon plot armor. Death will not pursue because she is by definition not a threat to him, and I would argue Deaths will to resist the growing urge to fight is immeasurable. Marisa will study up on becoming immortal, potentially figuring out the Hourai Elixir, and then they just harass each other for eternity like Mokou and Kaguya. Draw. Seriously, lets not put enemies like Death in a fighting series. If youre trying to be better than Mercs, dont make one of the few mistakes mercs tends to avoid. --- E come vivo? Vivo! |

Teysa is a pretty powerful mage, but her main power comes from being a brilliant lawyer, legislator, and diplomat. She pretty much held her entire world together and rescued it from the brink of chaos. Her age is actually amusing she looks fairly young (relative to her actual age) because the ghosts who run her guild are scared shitless of her, so if she dies, she will join them and probably ruin them. So they have snuck an age-prevention medicine into her food to keep her alive indefinitely. She is aware of this and perfectly fine with it. --- E come vivo? Vivo! |
