The worst part about it is that the story isn't bad. The voice acting (Japanese at least) is good, and the characters are passable stand-ins for Mega Man and the gang. If the level design was decent, the dash finishers were less important, and the bosses weren't frustratingly cheap (especially the fire boss, so far) it could have been at least good, maybe even pushing great.

As it is, it's a frustrating half-finished knock-off of a game series that it doesn't even copy correctly.

A1 has a better knuckles radar, and some pretty good Sonic/Tails levels, but otherwise it's heavily flawed. I really like A2 tho, aside from the trash radar and turning in mech levele

The only characters I didn't love playing as in SA1 were Amy and Big. Amy felt like watered-down Sonic/Tails while Big felt...weird. His part is short and easy, but still weird lol

St. Louis had a golden era in the late 90s/early 2000s, and even though we recently lost the Rams, it actually brought the average quality of our sporting events up. Rams sucked for years before they abandoned us and got rekt by GOAT Tom Brady in the super bowl.

I used to get emails like this back in the late 2000s and early 2010s when I was on the MoveOn.org mailing list.

Just a constant barrage of "donate to the run Warren run movement!" "Obama needs your help!" "Republicans are doing X, we MUST do Y to defeat them!"

And so on. Same tactics, too. Donation quotas, limited time double/triple match 'specials,' campaign buttons, signs, shirts (especially with run, Warren, run... they were really proud of that shit lol)

Basically I think every donation campaign is run using the same playbook. At least in terms of email lists.

I replayed Sonic Adventure 1 about 2-3 years ago and it still slaps. It's my favorite in the series (2D included).

SA2 has a lot more of a commitment to gimmicks that don't work very well. The Knuckles/Rouge levels can be boring and take too long--and then there's the timed one in the vault with Rouge, which is where I stopped my second playthrough like 15 years ago. I wanted to replay it after SA1 in the same time frame, saw I had an in-progress run, and played that level...and immediately quit again lol

The best menu item from McDonald's is actually two menu items. Order a double cheeseburger plain and a McChicken plain. Pry the double cheeseburger apart and put the McChicken patty between the burgers. Eat as one sandwich.

Eating the bun from the McChicken separately is optional. I do mine by using both top buns and I just throw out the bottoms unless I'm especially hungry.

Alternatively you can order two single cheeseburgers instead of one double (for the same price) and combine in the same way for different cheese placement.

No, and he didn't abandon Cersei in a vacuum. He left to provide the assistance he promised to provide in the fight versus the night Night King. As we see in the final scene he shares with Cersei, he knew they wanted to kill her all along, and his goal wasn't to die with her, it was to rescue her.

I don't really get how people think that Jaime returning to Cersei was some kind of character assassination. The entire theme of their relationship from the very start was 'we don't choose who we love,' which is a pretty significant theme through a lot of the series. It's why Robb died (he loved a girl he shouldn't have, which snowballed into the Red Wedding), it's how Jon became a wildling sympathizer (and it got him killed down the line, because loving Ygritte allowed him to understand and relate to the wildlings in a way that the other Crows couldn't), it's basically the whole reason for Littlefinger becoming an obsessed creeper (he loved Catelyn, and by extension he loved Sansa as a stand-in for Catelyn...and that love made him blind to the fact that she was setting him up to have him killed).

Love gets a ton of people killed in this story. The fact that Jaime and Cersei died together as lovers is not character assassination. It's an example of the characters being true to themselves. They came into the world together, and they left it together, just as they always seemed to know they would. Jaime, for all his flaws, tries to be a good man. He couldn't leave the woman he loved to die at the hands of the dragonqueen. He wanted to be there to protect her with his last breath.

It does matter. It's a major, major contributing factor to Daenerys becoming the Mad Queen. She saw how people respected him; how they loved him. She knew that his claim to the throne would be the end of any hope of loyalty from the people of Westeros. They saw her as a foreigner, and a conqueror.

If Jon had been a Snow, he wouldn't have been a real threat to her. It also redeemed Ned's honor (he didn't father a child with a woman other than his wife), and Rhaegar's (he didn't rape or kidnap Lyanna, but in fact married her and had a true born son with her).

It mattered, even if it didn't lead to Jon being the king in the end.

The only low point for me was season 6 as I didnt think much of anything really happened there. But hell, there were still some top series highlights in there

The first half of season 6 was iffy, but right around episode 7 (when the Hound returns) it picks up significantly. Episodes 9 and 10 of season 6 contain some of the most satisfying scenes in the entire series.

They went into it with high expectations (and very specific ones) about how it would go, and as things started to turn against their fan theories, they started getting angry.

Personally, I loved the whole show. The weak point imo was season 5.
