In my experience the parts that actually run the games get outdated before they break. If it works out of the box it usually works until I'm ready to move on.

I'm telling you, man...you'd be a-okay for gaming with a 3700x, especially at 1440p or higher. You're paying a $200+ premium for performance gains you'll barely see outside of 1080p.

But I still want to play some older games that rely on single threaded performance and Zen 3 is way better for that.

I mean as far as our Murphy goes I think she's gone until the big apocalyptic trilogy where she probably will return as a Valkyrie due to Vadderung pulling some strings, but in the several books before then I think we'll have Murphy from the alternate universe in Mirror Mirror come back with Harry somehow because it's likely that world is fucked - she won't be a full time replacement but I feel like she'd probably appear at least once outside of MM

Unless you have a 4 core cpu like me, you don't need an upgrade at 1440p. Zen+, even, is still more than enough for 60fps gaming at 1440p. Zen3 is a 50% price increase for ~20 to 25% more performance...at 1080p.

Yeah I'm still on a quad core. i7, but still just 4 cores, and it's starting to struggle on some games. And the single threaded performance on Zen 3 should be a huge upgrade as well

I like the idea of the game. Recruiting people and permadeath etc but the aesthetic is just so dumb and out of place. This is supposed to be pretty modern times but it looks too futuristic and tacky. I miss when it looked modern and you just had some fancy hacker phone that could mess with traffic lights.
