Im inclined to believe that given your experience with cards. Doing it that way was my assumption going in. But yeah he flat out told me theres no way to do that and we just have to request a line increase and see what the system fires back.

I apply for a specific card and they give me a really low limit despite perfect credit history. I really needed a higher limitlike $8000 or so. I also couldnt review the terms of the card before its booked. So you have to take what you get and fuck off I guess? I have high limits on my other cards (including a Chase one) so I suspect maybe my debt capacity is near maxed for their policy. I call later and ask what the terms of my approvals were. Specialist on the line says no one can see that. I ask for a line increase and if an underwriter could review it and consider one if I lower the line on my other card. He says no they cant do that. I say fine whatever, request a line increase. Declined. I ask the card be closed.

So apparently everyone at Chase has zero agency and completely at the mercy of the software that regurgitates whatever based on numbers in cyberspace. Its impossible to sit down and do business with them one to one.

When all is said and done I have two hard inquiries and a recently opened/closed line of credit and shit to show for it.

Now heres the kicker. This was all a couple weeks ago. I just got an email today that says they increased my current card limit by $6000. Like wwwwwwttttttffffff?!?! >_>

it was just such a gut punch to have seasons worth of Jaime leading towards a redemption arc only for a huge JK!! in the last few episodes. I know there is many ways to look at it but I think it was a lame decision.

IMO Jaime should have left to meet with Cersei solely to try and convince her to surrender, and then Daenarys gets betrayed when Cersei finds out about how they plan to stand down when they hear the bells. She decides to use the bells as a trap, simultaneously pulling her brothers in as unwitting co-conspirators. Then kind of escalate it from there. Maybe have Jaime be the one to put her down eventually.

Increasing the betrayals on Daenarys side would have helped transition her abrupt change too as showing mercy would have backfired on her.
