It's an average movie. What would be the point in seeing it in an empty theater? I can understand if you were black and wanting to see this movie when it came out in a theater full of black people, but your recommendation if just stupid @SwayM

https://tenor.com/0f5q.gif

My recommendation was to see a movie, any movie youre really interested in seeing in a completely empty theatre. Because it doesnt matter what the movie is, theres something really special of having all of that experience completely to yourself.

And second. As for Black Panther itself. I didnt need a packed house and other peoples reactions to appreciate the film. Didnt need laughter for the jokes to land. Didnt need some coughing or crunching of snacks to remind me Im not alone in this universe. Didnt need that awkward stand in the parking lot post movie discussion to see how your friends felt about it shit. I just enjoyed the fuck out of the movie for me and me alone and Id, again, recommend someone try it for any movie.

Im sure going to a predominately Black theatre for that movie would have been its own separate amazing experience but unfortunately where I live that isnt a reality.

Im happy with how I seen it and it ended up being a fantastic film. Extremely creative, bursting with talent. And really was refreshing to see something so unique meshed into this already established world.

Speak for yourself, I did not go in just to see Spider-Man. In fact I knew black panther was gonna be in the movie and knew he would kill it. I guess I was just ahead of the curve on that one.

Of course dude but lets not forget the circumstances that led to Spider-Man in the MCU and his inclusion in that movie was next level in terms of hype for almost everyone.

But of course we all were excited to see BP on some level too, I mean at that point and now. Any character introduced into the MCU is exciting to see.

But you know Spider-Man put asses in seats. walking away from the movie BP stole the show for me in many ways.

Lets also not forget the rest of the cast either and how much is going on in that movie. Telling you man, its not like I walked in not giving a fuck about BP. Im just saying I walked out a huge fan and thats telling as fuck. Especially with all things considered in that movie.

BP was awesome in Civil War for sure. Shame his solo movie was a letdown.

I think if you look at a tremendously successful franchise like Star Wars and see what a shoehorned in character Finn failed to do, and compare it to Marvel and what Boseman was able to do is extremely telling on his performance and character portrayal, and the cultural significance Black Panther had on so many people.

Tonight legit shocked me and it's still sinking in.

I think the thing with this is that its a complete night and day difference between the care and devotion of these franchises.

Marvels success is because its creators are passionate and talented and there isnt so much corporate mucking about that stifles that passion.

I would never call John Boy a bad actor by any Means but Star Wars was stripped of that flame a long time ago and its a pure numbers game at this point.

Whereas it really doesnt matter who were talking about in the MCU. From writers, directors actors and everyone else in between. Everyone is given room to cook and it comes across on screen. Let the chef cook man.

But I distinctly remember walking out of the theatre thinking Black Panther stoke the show for me. Every scene with him was awesome, and had a major stake in the movie. Which for having 86 main characters is something.

Then we got The Black Panther movie and I remember I saw it on the second weekend it opened and I was alone in the theatre on a cold February night. It was one of the best movie going experiences ever and I highly recommend seeing a movie in a theatre completely by yourself if you can somehow swing it.

The reaction to that movie too was amazing. It reached a level no comic movie ever had before.

Just sharing because we lost a legend today. Fuck this whole year

Gamers are spoiled as fuck and Ive been saying for years theyre the most entitled people on the planet.

You know for sure that if they tried to emulate more of Morrowinds design in ES6 the same people they bitch that Dark Souls needs an easy mode would be sitting there not understanding a damn thing about game design. Asking moronic fuckin questions like why is there no compass? Why do I have to listen to NPCs for vague and misleading directions to my objectives?

Theres another piece of this that makes me think its more serious.

Last year when I took him to the vet the vet did this very quick pull of his legs and hips from behind. She said she did this because hes a lab and she wanted to check for early mobility issues and that kinda thing. she said he reacted in a way that, while she couldnt diagnose anything said it might be early signs of something and might be a good idea to book him in for a scan.

Now my dumb ass is really kicking myself for sluffing it off and waiting until now. I never thought in a million years that he would ever slow down like night and day like this though.

The Harry Potter hate is REALLY weird to me.

This is coming from Someone who grew up around it but never bought into it. So I have no loyalty to it whatsoever but find it extremely pathetic these kids would take blind shots at the fandom for literally no reason.

Im legit thinking its some kind of jealousy? Like what do they even have that they can geek out about? Cant even claim Marvel movies, at best they share them with millennials like myself. Star Wars again is owned by everyone and theres not much there to go bat for these days.

Such a random thing to throw shade at.
