Popular music has objectively gotten worse. And by popular I mean radio, top 40, etc. Theres been studies that show popular music has become much more homogenized over time since the 1960s. Major producers have gotten mass appeal down to a science, and as a result everything on the radio sounds the same. Of course, theres a ton more music choices today that you cant hear on the radio compared to 1960.

Phoenix heat isnt so bad. Just dont be out in the sun between 9:00-4:00 during ~May-September. Even then, you can go hiking in the summer heat if youre heathy, drink lots of water, and wear a wide brim hat (and sunscreen). When its 115 during the day, it feels nice to have dinner at night at a restaurants outdoor patio. 115 in the dry desert is a lot better than 100 in a humid swamp city like DC or anywhere in Florida.
