Good episode.

Oddly enough my favorite part was probably Jimmy Woo busting out the card trick when he first shows up. Just a nice continuity nod that shows he's been studying up in the five years since the snap, assuming he wasn't snapped and it seems like he wasn't.

Time to shill the thing I want to see.

Since Aerith and Seph are both timeline aware, they both know that Seph killing her actually screwed him over in the original timeline. Holy fails to stop Meteor and it's only through Aerith being dead and within the lifestream to control it that Meteor is stopped.

So I want Seph to kidnap her in the next game leading to wacky scenarios where she's constantly trying to off herself (jumping off buildings, fork in electrical socket, holding her breath like a kid who doesn't want to listen) and he has to stop her.

Ok I don't ACTUALLY want this but the thought of it amuses me.

Oh and I also expected Roche to show up in the final motorcycle sequence. If he comes back though I want him as a rival for chocobo racing, on a red chocobo, making motorcycle noises with his mouth. Just make him the dumbest.

there;s no way at this point for Magneto not to be awkward. he'd be well into his 90s.

Mutants age slower. Or his powers specifically make him age slower. Easy.

I like the stone explanation, but we saw no evidence of mutants in FFH which is like eight months after WV. Maybe make it a slow burn process.

The one thing I'd do is make so that the there were naturally occurring mutants prior to the snaps, they were just very rare and kept themselves hidden. That way you could have Xavier, Mags, and Wolverine. Hell you could even have a small X-Men class with Cyke and the crew that now has to come out of hiding to help the explosion of new mutants coming into existence.

Anyway, I believe that GR is done alright, but the costume looks silly. I know that's because it has a TV budget, but still. It's nowhere near as bad as like the Inhumans promo (I never watched Inhumans, now that has to be non-canon).

To be fair the costume is near 100% spot on for the Robbie Reyes GR from the comics, or at least as close as you can get in live action. It also looks a lot better in motion and with proper lighting than just a still promo shot.

It's 100% speculation. You aren't behind the scenes, and they've never openly posted what happened. I follow them on Twitter and Facebook, there wasn't any info posted there.

The closest we've come is Liam posting about how he wasn't surprised at the time of the breakup and openly admitting he and Pat stopped getting along which is why he left.

It's most likely a mixture of what people speculate and not totally any one person who is to blame.

Jumping chollas are nasty but make for great home defense. Just plant them outside your windows, no one is breaking in.

The stems detach from the main plant super easily and attach to anything that so much as brushes up against them. I once had one stick to the front of my right shoe just barely at a weird angle and then when I took a step forward it speared clear through my left achilles tendon.

My dog also walked through a patch once and came out with once dangling off her chin. As I tried to remove it she swung her head toward me and embedded it in my thigh. Had to wedge a comb underneath it to remove it.

Yes and no.

Most books from book 30 onward were initially ghost written. However, Applegate and her husband had pretty strict outlines for these books and as they've since revealed in reddit AMAs, often went back and rewrote entire chunks of the ghost writers work before publication.

30-45 or so were ghostwritten by a bunch of different writers. 45-52 were the same two or three writers leading into the final arc. The last books Applegate wrote herself, and she also wrote all of the chronicles books.

Eh yes and no. There was a lot of rolling with the punches and randomness for Crayak and Ellimist.

Also Jake and Rachel were just randomly picked to be Animorphs, and they probably ended up being the two most consequential. Rachel was a true soldier, and Jake became the figure that ultimately won the war by doing what no one else could. The other 4 are essentially tied; you couldnt have done a lot without Axs knowledge, and Marco became a driving force later and took over when Jake was incapable for one reason or another. Cassie helped retain the moral center but also made a lot of mistakes in hindsight; she could never have known the cube would convince yeerks not to be hosts. Tobias tended to step up a lot too, aka the dinosaur one where he basically take responsibility for the big decision. Also just a great character

As The Drode says in Megamorphs #4, The Ellimist stacked the deck when he picked the Animorphs.

You have the son of Visser One's host, Elfangor's brother, Elfangor's paradoxical son, and Cassie, who is an anomaly who is timeline grounded, meaning she disrupts any timeline that tries to take the place of the true timeline. That's the book where in a moment of weakness Jake takes an offer from Crayak and the Drode to change it so that they never walked through the construction site the night everything started. This leads to the deaths of Tobias, Marco, Cassie, and Rachel in the new timeline, but Jake and Ax still manage to link up despite not knowing one another and kill Visser Three and are about to destroy the Pool Ship before The Drode stops everything and throws a tantrum that this timeline is even worse for Crayak than the original. Cassie while she's alive in this timeline knows it's wrong and is the only one who vaguely remembers it when things are restored to normal.

Oh here's another fun one.

The initial scouting team consisting of two Yeerks almost entirely falls into the experience of being human to the point where they have kids using their human hosts bodies. IIRC those hosts had a decent understanding and bond with the Yeerks and it was like a weird foursome couple. Then when the time comes to signal the main fleet one of them doesn't want to do it, wanting to protect the children and humanity as a whole. The other is hesitant but still a loyal soldier to the Empire. This leads to the one who didn't want to do it starving, and when a Yeerk dies they instinctively try to leave their host. But for some reason he gets stuck halfway out, the host attempts to pull him the rest of the way, tearing him in half and leaving the other half inside his head connected to his brain. This causes him to go nuts, having both his human memories and personality and pieces of the Yeerk's.

The only time I remember one of them morphing a whale while the others are dolphins are when Cassie morphs humpback to scare off David in orca morph who was trying to kill the others.

I don't think there's actually any scenario where Rachel is morphing whale while the others are dolphins. Might be wrong but again I remember the series pretty well.

There was a time where Rachael morphed into a whale, but she grew whale size before anything else so she was just a 40 foot teenage girl. I think I realized I had a giantess fetish that day.

There were times where weird morphing sequences happened but this never happened and is just something you made up.

Animorphs was dark as fuck. What other kids series deals with brain controlling parasites, child soldiers, genocide, war crimes, and more?

Some things that happen in the series...

Jake is like 16 by the end of the series, and during the big final battle he is given the opportunity to flush 17000 defenseless Yeerks into the vacuum of space. See, the Yeerks are brain slugs that have to leave their host every three days to feed on radiation from their homeworld in a specialized pool, and they're completely helpless in that state. Jake does it with little hesitation and is later tried for war crimes.

The Taxxons. Holy shit the Taxxons. An alien centipede race with a driving hunger so strong that they will literally eat anything, and I mean anything. They eat each other, to the point where wounding one can be a sufficient distraction as the rest would immediately go into a feeding frenzy. They even eat themselves - I can think of at least one instance where one is cut in half and ends up dying as it tries to devour the detached lower half. The entire race is enslaved by the Yeerks, and they came to the Yeerks willingly hoping they could control the hunger. They could not, which leads to the Taxxons eventually turning on the Yeerks and siding with the Animorphs in exchange for the ability to morph into and stay as literally anything else. Most of them turn into anacondas and live peacefully in the Amazon by the end of the series.

David. Maybe the wildest three book arc in the series. Random kid finds the morphing cube that gives people the morphing powers. Tries to sell it online, the team notices, but so do the Yeerks. They manage to save him but not his family, and have to break the news of the invasion to him along with the fact that his parents are now slaves and he can't go home. He joins the team, but something seems off. Very quickly it's revealed that he's a cowardly sociopath. Things David does; kills a random red tailed hawk thinking it's Tobias, tries to sell out to the Yeerks, repeatedly attempts to murder all of the crew, acquires a lion morph and even before he goes nuts fantasizes about who would win between his lion and Jake's tiger.

Then Jake and Rachel's cousin Saddler is involved in an accident midway through the story. He's in a coma, being rushed to surgery, etc. Jake and Rachel show up at the hospital and to their surprise, Saddler is 100% fine. He's awake and fully healed and everyone is saying it's a miracle. They quickly realize it's David, morphed into Saddler, attempting to take over his life and put a stop to that. So from the perspective of Saddler's parents, their son was in a horrible accident, then suddenly miraculously recovered on the way to surgery, then disappeared soon after, until they find his dead body, still sustaining the injuries from the accident, in (IIRC) an elevator shaft.

So they decide they have to handle David, and they trick him into rat morph and lead him into a cage, then abandon him on an isolated island, with one of them staying there to make sure he doesn't demorph within the two hour limit, leaving him stuck as a rat on this island. Shit's fucked.

Leading out of that you have the auxiliary team. Once the team has the morphing cube they decide they need reinforcements. After some thought they decide to visit the sick kids ward at a hospital IIRC, and give the morphing power to a bunch of kids there in order to help out. After a heartwarming scene where these kids get to morph and fly, which for some of them is the most freedom of movement they've ever had, they return to the hospital to demorph. One kid was in due to an accident and had his arm amputated; due to the way morphing works when he morphed back his arm had grown back. This gave the other kids hope...but it only fixes injuries, so the kids with motor disabilities and whatnot morphed back and still had those disabilities.

Then this aux team is sacrificed entirely in the final arc fighting alongside the US military once the war goes open in a distraction so that the main team can make their very important move. They know they're going to die, too, as do the military dudes.

There's so much more than that, too.
