I really only had two issues with the movie.

1) The beginning jumps around way too much between planets. Not sure what the fix would've been, but it just felt like a disjointed opening ten or fifteen minutes.
2) Saw's hard exit stage left was just weird to me. Seemed like they could've kept a borderline identical narrative had he left with them and then just got offed on the Rogue One mission.

But all in all a damn solid film.

For how shitty preseason football is, I think it honestly served a pretty vital step in getting people ready for actual football. I can't tell you how many people I know that like football were either shocked that the NFL was starting up already or didn't realize it was starting until they saw actual games on TV.

Lightsabers are a norm in Star Wars. Lightspeed attacks are not. One of those needs an in-universe explanation, the other doesn't. If the lightsaber was randomly introduced 8 movies in as an extremely capable weapon and then never used again it'd be dumb af.

Lightsabers were a Jedi-only weapon in the original trilogy (seriously, watch Revenge of the Jedi and how the emperor looks at the weapon with bemused contempt and calls it a Jedi weapon, with Vader only using it still as an ex-Jedi), but then they became the end all, be all of all Force users in the prequels.

The series makes stuff up that alters continuity all the freaking time.

If you claim to hate the hyperspace ram scene, you're just admitting to being a delusional hater of all things TLJ. I get canonically there are issues with it (which could easily be explained away with a line of dialogue) but it's a fucking awesome scene and easily the most visually stunning of the series with the possible exception of the first time seeing ANH opening.

Why are people acting like getting greenland would be a bad thing? I mean, it has a basically 0 percent chance of happening but if it did it'd be great.

For the EEZ extension alone, Greenland would absolutely be a fantastic addition to the United States, especially in Arctic waters.

The issue that people had, however, was that Trump took offense at the Danes not being willing to sell and even cancelled a diplomatic meeting over it. Couple that with the fact that he seemingly explored a Greenland for Puerto Rico swap, which is grade A lunacy, and you have yet another example of our President being a toddler.

It's not like there isn't precedent for this kind of thing. That's how the U.S. got Alaska, which was formerly part of the Russian Empire.

Back in the 1860s, when vast territorial swaps/purchases were the norm. That kind of thing hasn't remotely been usual for decades.

The game's just very outdated, but if you're a fan of JRPGs I would still recommend a play through of it and Dragon Warrior as those two games really set the standards for the genre for many years after. Just don't expect it to have aged like a fine wine. Just remember that both games are very much lacking in convenience that later titles would implement.
