| BlazinBlue88 10/02/20 11:15:26 AM #2 | What do you mean IT tech? There's a ton of fields under the IT umbrella...cyber security being one of them. You have different levels and specialties in IT. Do you plan to stay working helpdesk and general system administration jack of all trades type stuff? Are you the type to climb the career ladder past those levels and specialize in something like storage, networking, or cloud tech? The helpdesk/general sysadmin level of IT is simple enough to get a handle on. Nearly everyone starts at this level. You'll be a break/fix person for end user equipment like laptops, cell phones, and basic server stuff. Each company is different in the responsibilities they hand out to their IT staff. If the company is big enough, they'll have people who just spend their days resetting user passwords and telling them to reboot their computers. My first job was a small company so I was a one man IT team. I was in charge of laptops, phones, network switches, upgrade projects for servers, etc. Biggest thing at this level is dealing with non tech end users(hopefully within your own company and not the general public) who you'll have to hand hold through their problems. If you get easily frustrated by people, you'll need to get out of this level quickly. Some people are completely happy staying at this level cause the pay is good (~$40k-55k) considering the simplicity of the job. Specializing is where the real money and fun is. At this level you will be dealing with less people, less task juggling, and focusing more on process improvement/projects. You'll need to dedicate your own personal time to acquire new skills outside of your standard helpdesk job in order to move up to this level. Even when you make it to this level you'll spend your time researching new concepts and tech to possibly implement in your environment. People at this level tend to have more freedom within their workday and aren't chained to their desk like a help desk person would be. I sorta rambled a bit there but I wasn't sure what you wanted to know exactly. --- |

Moved to that after Napster was shutdown cause it had a similar interface. Eventually WinMX servers got shutdown but there was some patch that allowed you to join a communuty ran set of servers. Did that for another year or so. Now there's private music trackers that are hard to get into but the content is quality...allegedly. --- |

I eat a lot of eggs, spinach, my fiber intake is heavy. Fish is like 75% of the meat I eat with dinner, and it's usually brown rice and fresh broccoli and whatnot. I got a little bit of a belly but I can still knock out 50 push ups a couple times a day and toss hay bails. I exercise and whatnot, I don't really touch sugar unless it's fruit, otherwise all I drink is water and seltzer waters like Perrier. I'm well within my healthy body weight for my age and height. I take vitamins. This all just started in the last 2 weeks or so.That's great man. You eat about as well as I do. Maybe take a couple days off of drinking to help reset your body. I take a break once in a blue moon to give the finger to that feeling of "you should drink". Put yourself in your place and remind yourself that you have the willpower to not drink if you don't want to. Johnny_Nutcase posted... How did you word it? General tip for creature metamorphosis. Don't do it as soon as they are able to. Wait until they've learned all their tricks. Also there are spikes in difficulty with random bosses. You'll just be chugging along for while then hit a boss that roadblocks you hard until you grind for a couple hours. --- |

I'm fine when I wake up, but here lately, when it gets to be around 5 or 6pm, my hands are getting pretty shaky, and I know it's the alcohol. When I have my first beer, it's basically gone by the end of it.I might have gotten them a couple times last month. Couldn't tell for sure if it was because of alcohol. It scared me enough to make me take a dry week. That week also helped drastically lower my tolerance which was a plus. I mainly have the mental thought/habit of wanting to pour a drink. Doesn't help that I drink nothing but water all day so when I want to drink something with flavor, alcohol is what I drink. --- |
