If people get $2000, which Donald Trump was for, and which Perdue and Loeffler likely vote for a few days before a very tight senate runoff, their feelings towards the GOP are going to be more positive

Thats why Dems needed to force a vote on the House version thats standalone $2000 rather than the McConnell bill that combines $2000 with repealing media protections and a voter fraud commission. Those two will still vote for the shitty version, and then when the Dems dont go for it itll make it harder for Dems to win Georgia.

The $600 is already signed, its already happening. They could have blocked the veto to the defense budget until there was a real vote on $2000 stimulus, but these Dems refused to do that.
