I'm close in a way that I always can tell them straight up how I feel and not feel judged or like it will change how they feel about me. But I'm not close in a way where I lean on that to tell them my deepest problems. They all got family's to deal with and I'm fine enough. But thanks to the good ol pandy, I don't really see anyone right now. Only got a couple friends. Also distant from them during this. I have a lung condition, so I don't get the freedom others can afford to play with right now. Which I don't expect my family to close down their lives. But I'm just giving context to why it's hard to put my relationships in a box right now. I basically have one cousin I hang with, who is more like a brother. Other than that, Im solo'ing this pandemic. I have no insecurities that I will be forgotten tho. I build strong relationships with the few I do.

We moved when I was a kid and my parents got divorced so I was kinda between two worlds there, and then "my" best "family friends" (it was my much older sister's ex boyfriend and his family, they were super nice to me as a kid) just stopped talking to us one day and I have never understood why. And then never having any long-lasting friendships or anything... I hung out with one of the neighbors pretty frequently in elementary school and maybe middle school but by high school we never talked any more and I don't know why.

I had 3 older sisters. I'd make friends with their bfs all the time. Some I got to the point where we'd hang out every day. Then something would happen, they'd break up and I'd never talk to them again. And they weren't interchanging bfs a lot. These were like multi-year relationships with kids involved.

And for a couple of them I lived in the same apartment complex. I'd literally just snap on the turn of a dime. Like I'd just immediately accept that I didn't have them as friends anymore. Probably out of loyalty for my sisters.

I didn't want to make a complicated problem for them more complicated, so I think I just disconnected the emotional toll that should come with losing friends. That kind of makes sense.

I dunno. But it's clear now that Im emotionally unattached from losing friends. My sisters and my mom, that's a whole different story tho.

I actually didn't read the entry. Just something I remembered and I guess would fall into the category of depressing lol. It don't bother me much anymore

I'm definitely not above the idea that I'm the weird one here. But in my perspective, it seems like a trope. I'm just that far removed from it. Art imitates life. It could very well be so popular in film because it is in real life. I'll listen to a sad song to pick at my emotion, but diving into the past for it was never my thing. I just feel like there's nothing to gain. I'd rather reminisce on a funny moment and use it to try to make others laugh.

My friends always moved away or something else happened. Since I was a kid. I was numb to that before I even had a chance to become emotional over it. So, I guess that? In a more subtle way? Cause it feels like I don't give a shit. But when I write it on paper it sounds depressing.

Not anymore. Especially in a world that literally leads us into an oversexualized life. What doesn't have a sexual aspect on it these days? There's so many things Id love to see as innocent, but I can't lol. I catch myself being like "That's kind of fucked up my mind would go there, but literally everything surrounding me has guided me for my mind to sexualize the situation". Just think about "That's what she said" being the go to. That alone trained so many people to oversexualize things. And that's just a simple joke.
