Because of how Georgia has done it's polling this year it's extremely unlikely a recount will be even 1 vote different.

After doing your ballot you got it printed on a QR code which then got scanned to actually cast your ballot. The recount will just be rescanning all the QR codes in bulk scanning machines.

So the only difference will be due to human error in the scanning itself (didn't scan properly or simply forgot to scan) and even then that will only apply to the absentee ballots. The regular ones were (hopefully) scanned correctly before the guy casting them left the building.

They essentially prepared in advance for this scenario and I'm proud of the job they did.

basically just quickly grabbed a couple names of slightly less insane Republican Senators in states with Democratic Governors and a reasonable chance of a Democrat winning the followup special election. i didn't dig too deeply into who might actually be the best choice.

edit: i just looked a little deeper. it's not a long list at all. Gardner is the only other name on it. and neither he or Johnson are particularly appealing.
