TheArkOfTurus 10/05/21 4:27:23 PM #373 | 30. Beat a game with a female lead Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Felt like playing this again. Decided to do a run on hard mode before trying the new characters/modes. The difficulty only really felt like it mattered at the beginning, and at one later boss fight, but it was still a fun replay. Probably going to try Bloodless, next. 52/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 10/01/21 1:23:02 AM #370 | 17. Beat a first-person shooter Deathloop Had a ton of potential, but the story ended up falling kinda flat, and the game got extremely repetitive. I guess the latter is appropriate, given the game's core conceit, but that didn't make the lack of variety any more enjoyable. Still not a bad game, but a huge letdown after Prey. 51/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 09/27/21 12:01:02 AM #367 | 16. Beat a rhythm game Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call Started a new file on a whim. Kinda forgot that this was a game with an ending, but thankfully for this topic it was. Still love the game. It passed Kid Icarus: Uprising in hours played at some point, which of course means it's time for me to replay that as well. 50/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 09/25/21 2:25:17 AM #363 | 24. Beat a game with romance as a central theme Fatal Twelve Solid visual novel. Not something I'm likely to go recommending to everyone, but I enjoyed it. 49/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 09/16/21 8:27:32 PM #352 | 39. Finish a game that took you at least twenty-five hours to beat The Great Ace Attorney 2 1. Beat a game released before 1991 Space Harrier Used to be my time-killer of choice in Shenmue. Never came close to beating it, though, seeing as it was one credit only. This time I played the Sega Ages version on Switch, which gave you.... four credits. Still pretty rough, but much more manageable, and with a stage select option to practice. 48/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

Beat a sports game Bill Belichick Offseason Simulator That last one is definitely a sports game. Definitely. 46/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 07/26/21 5:49:59 PM #298 | 4. Beat a game released between 2011-2020 Streets of Rage 4 Did a quick playthrough of Story mode to try out the new characters. Max and Estel were fun, but I stuck to Shiva after trying them once. He's probably my favorite character overall, now. 40/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 07/20/21 3:15:47 PM #296 | 6. Beat a game in a completely new series 7. Beat a game in a series you've already played some of FRAMED FRAMED 2 Really great, well executed puzzle game. Not entirely sure when this ended up in my Steam library, but I'm glad it did. 41. Beat a game with a Metascore above 90 Metroid Fusion 39/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 07/03/21 11:30:29 PM #287 | 43. Beat a game based on licensed stories/characters Record of Lodoss War -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth- The most Symphony of the Night looking game I've played since Symphony of the Night. It does enough with some of its own gameplay systems to differentiate itself, though, and it feels very good to control. A bit too short, and a bit too easy not to have a hard mode or any postgame stuff, but overall a very solid metroidvania. 36/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 06/27/21 11:04:37 PM #277 | 46. Beat a game you received for free or through a paid subscription service Little Misfortune Got this in one of KCF's code giveaways (thanks for always doing those!) I enjoyed the developer's previous game (Fran Bow) quite a bit. This one is similar in some ways, although unfortunately I preferred Fran Bow in every aspect. Still, it was an enjoyable playthrough. I'm surprised I could also put this in the <70 Metacritic slot if I needed to. It deserved much better than the 57(!) it got. 35/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 06/21/21 3:01:45 PM #274 | 18. Beat a third-person shooter Returnal My game of the year so far! ...Out of the three non-remake/rerelease games I've played this year, one of which I just moved to the under 70 metacritic category. Still, I enjoyed it a lot. The gameplay was about what I expected, aside from being easier than I had heard (I think they may have changed some things in patches,) but it was a lot more compelling narratively than I expected. I still need to get a true ending, though, I think. 34/52 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

Beat a game with romance as a central theme An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs Disappointed by this. Enjoyed the writing, but there wasn't enough of it. The actual gameplay is extremely monotonous, and dear god did it ever need an inventory screen. Several of the planets were a pain in the ass to navigate, and there weren't enough unique dogs. 29/50 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 05/25/21 8:48:12 PM #232 | 4. Beat a game released between 2010-2020 Danganronpa V3 So a couple weeks ago someone made a strangest game you felt the urge to immediately replay topic. I think this is pretty high up for me. Not because it's a strange game to want to replay, but because I didn't actually want to replay it at all; I wanted to replay the board/gacha/dungeon crawler mini game. I didn't have a completed DR3 file anymore, though, so I replayed the entire game to get to that. I am weird. 27/50 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 05/19/21 1:56:44 PM #225 | 18. Beat a third-person shooter Mass Effect The QoL changes are nice, but they can't save the sidequest design. I probably shouldn't have near 100% completed it, but I did. Whoops. Still an enjoyable game, of course. Will probably end up moving this to beat three games in the series, assuming I don't get distracted from Mass Effect 3 (normally a threat, but since there's no multiplayer in this I'll probably be fine.) 26/50 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

Topic | Wifebolo plays House in Fata Morgana [progressive spoilers] |
TheArkOfTurus 04/19/21 3:26:59 PM #87 | Llarian posted... Questions: How did you hear about House in Fata Morgana? Do you own it already and/or will you be buying the Switch release? Had it as a recommended game on Steam a month or two after it released. The (relatively few) reviews were glowing, and the art style was striking enough that I decided to take a chance on it. Pretty odd, considering I don't buy that many VNs, and barely pay attention to Steam reviews, but it certainly worked out! Already bought the Switch release, although I haven't started it yet. --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 04/17/21 5:08:39 PM #190 | 14. Beat a JRPG SaGa Frontier Remastered Asellus' scenario. Some great quality of life features, but I imagine it will still be way too obtuse for people new to the series. Either way, I adore it. I'll probably play though every scenario again. 21/50 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 03/19/21 12:35:02 AM #158 | 33. Beat a game with a robot/artificial lead Astro's Playroom I had heard people say good things about it, but I expected to bounce off it. I tend to be less enthusiastic about 3D platformers than a lot of people, and I figured it was getting extra credit because it was free. When I booted it up and saw it was going to focus on controller gimmicks, my optimism dropped further. Thankfully, I was wrong. I enjoyed it quite a bit, especially most of the controller gimmicks. I'd buy a full version of this... Well, if it didn't also have to buy a PSVR, anyway. 16/50 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 03/11/21 12:42:21 AM #151 | 47. Play a game that's technically unbeatable for at least six hours Romancing Saga Re;Universe Wanted something to hold me over until the SaGa Frontier remaster. This runs like garbage on my device, but thankfully there are no forced timing elements like the other Gacha games I've played, and it's just an RPG. Seems pretty okay, no obvious bullshit yet. A lot of the mechanics are obtuse, and poorly explained... Which I guess makes it true to the series. Not going to spend money on it (especially since I don't think it'll live that long outside of Japan,) but I'll probably keep playing as a time killer. --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 03/07/21 12:29:15 AM #139 | 27. Beat a game with mystery as a central theme Gnosia Pretty neat. Less visual novel than I was hoping for, but what was there was cool, and I loved the cast. The way their personalities carried into the Mafia portion of the game was quite well done. I found the Mafia sections to be pretty damn addictive, but I imagine people who have actually played a lot of Mafia will find them to be a bit too limited, and I know they'll disagree with the logic the game uses sometimes. Trying to find the events to proceed with the story would probably be a nightmare if you didn't enjoy it. 13/50 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |

TheArkOfTurus 03/03/21 12:27:45 PM #135 | 41. Beat a game with a Metascore above 90 Hades Started a new file on hell mode. I like the idea of starting out with higher heat, but personal liability (removing invincibility frames after getting hit) is something I don't think I'd want to play with much. I managed a clear on my 4th run, but it took until my 22nd to hit credits (mainly because I'm not very good with the sword.) 12/50 --- Our eyes were removed For our own safety |
