If you're down by more than 150 points, there's no reason to try to catch the snitch. You're actively trying to make your own team lose.

If the other team's seeker spots it, you're not going to have much choice. In games that are part of leagues (such as the ones played at Hogwarts), it's better to lose catching the snitch closing the score gap than it is to let the other team catch it and have their score skyrocket (the former puts you in a better position to still win the league overall).

Says "write-in candidate" though. What this means is that his name actually does not appear on the ballot and that if you write his name in the blank space provided, it will count as a vote for him. In contrast if you write someone's name in that hasn't registered as a write-in candidate, they won't get a vote.

That in turn means that if you have to know who this person is prior to voting otherwise he's essentially invisible. His chances of winning is about as close to 0% as you possibly could get.
