He was looking like he might have a professional hockey career (maybe, you never know with that stuff) but has Ulcerative Colitis so he had to pull back and temper his expectations on his fitness and athletic abilities. My fibula and part of my ankle are made of titanium so my right leg weighs more than my left. A combination of Crossfit and hockey gradually pulled my pelvis out of alignment as more strain went to one side than another. One day doing jump squats my spine and my pelvis separated, causing nerve and ligament damage. With 2 years of physical therapy I was able to avoid surgery, but I have significant loss of range of motion and can never again play any sort of contact sport or really go super hard at the gym. It's hard to get motivated to stay in shape when the best I can hope for is healthy instead of beast. I need to do it, though, I've been drinking way too damned much during all the stress from working healthcare right now. --- All generalizations are false, including this one. |

I pulled the trigger on the 6er because it explicitly said it didn't contain donuts. Ooh ooh Lambics are good, too. There's a Brewery a little north of Pittsburgh in Meadville that makes one called Voodoo Love Child that is fucking incredible.
