For confirmation. I loved doing my own reading. Homework was monotonous, and what kid wants to do more homework?

And now, at 21, I find myself helping my mom, or I should say, doing her church homework for her church group studies.

The Bible is actually fascinating to read at times, but like school has done for other books, I now see it as work rather than something for recreational purposes or self-fulfillment.

At least you found some sort of comparison as a way of knowing where you are!

Today, I had a pork loin meal with the loin, corn, and green beans for 300 calories. Additionally, I had half a totintos (350) and a Sunkist can of soda (160) bringing my total up to 810 calories.

My dad went to the gas station, and I was extremely tempted to get a 44 oz polar pop, but I refrained because of the Sunkist. If I didn't drink that, and was at 650 calories, I think I would have been 632 calories under 3,000 calories over 3 days. It felt really tempting, but I didn't do it. Might get a polar pop at some point, maybe make it for a very special occasion, but I don't want to make polar pops a norm. My family isn't really supportive of me, but I try to ignore it all the same.

I made some breadsticks and marinara sauce myself from scratch. It was supposed to be like Little Caesars' Crazy Combo, where I know the breadsticks are reportedly 120 calories a stick. When I first did it, I calculated the total calories of a full batch (18 sticks), and divided by 18 to get 124 calories, so pretty darn close. They probably round down a little. Same for the sauce too.

Today, I had 4 sticks (496), 6 raviolis (300), and 3/16 cups of marinara sauce (36) for a total of 832 calories. Keep in mind, the sticks were not even in size, so it could vary one way or the other, but not by too significant of an amount.

While it is definitely harder to find out based on the fact that someone else made it, you can always look at the calories found on each individual ingredient used, and estimate based on how much of each was used. You will find many of the spices are practically 0 in calories, so even if you don't know if she used 1/2 a teaspoon of salt, or 3 cups of salt (exaggeration of course), that shouldn't be as big of a factor in terms of calories (although salt has its own health risks of course) as the things like cheese, flour, toppings, and sauce would have.

I really wanna try to lose a lot of weight. My lowest was 195 in sophomore year of high school but I ballooned when I want to boarding school. Highest was like 270. I'm 240 right because I (before covid) lived on a big college campus and had to move around everywhere. I've banned stuff like candy from myself but I still have tendencies to overeat. It's less that I'm not careful and more that I basically have a food addiction.

I wish I could offer advice, but we are all different. I had a huge soda addiction where I needed 2-3 bottles of coke a day to feel complete, but I went cold turkey beginning April 2nd, and didn't have anything for a whole month. Now, I have had 2 cans of soda and 1 glass the entire month; I just no longer feel like I have to have it.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect, yesterday was probably the first official "pig-out" day I've had since I started. Couldn't help myself, but I like to believe weight loss isn't decided by any one day of eating better or worse.

I think what helps is to have a goal that is reasonable, realistic, and finite. What I mean by the last one is, too many people go into these things thinking "for the rest of my life" but for 99% of us, the rest of our lives is too long to decide to make a timeframe. When I did the no-soda challenge, I didn't say "for the rest of my life" because I knew there was no way I was going to refrain from soda for the rest of my life. I made it one month because I knew that was actually obtainable. And by not drinking soda, I finally removed soda from being a necessary habit. I trained my body to feel like it doesn't need soda. I'm not saying I won't reach a point where I get back on soda, college could easily ruin what I worked on, but now I know a solution.

I also think having a number like what I do (1100-1300) calories is good because it gives me a target. It goes beyond "eat less" but actually puts a goal to it. All our numbers can be different, but by having an actual number, we have something to work towards.

That is about all the advice I can personally give. I do wish you luck in finding a solution that works for you!

To be part of a panel that has a separate weight with their vote in the contest. There will be a normal, IP locked poll on CE, worth a total of 33.3 points, a post vote on a private board only for those who created an account before July of 2019 that is worth a total of 33.3 points, and finally a panel vote that is even more selective who vote and are worth 33.3 points. I don't know where they will vote, but that will be decided before it is over.

Additionally, the panel has the right to vote on deciding if any poll results should be voted and half of 33.3 points will just be distributed to each contestant instead, if they feel the poll vote has been compromised beyond fair. Additionally, I may give them the right to vote on who gets to be in the post-vote since I do not have the knowledge of who has what alts. Finally, they have the right to vote on whole-tournament decisions if they feel I am going off-track with how the tournament should be handled.

It's not an obligation, like always, you don't have to take part everyday, votes are based on proportional percentages, but it would just allow those whom I feel are trustworthy to make sure the tournament runs better than it did last year.

Super Mario Odyssey would be dope since that is the world of Mario. Even if it just has to be anything you see in Odyssey, I think many of the places would be enjoyable to go to.

Ttyd is my 3rd favorite game ever, but God damn does it have one of the most annoying fanbases.

Haven't played Sticker Star, but every Paper Mario I've played was enjoyable including Color Splash.

Color Splash was actually a good game. Battle system needed work, but the environment and dialogue had me going "they still got it!"

Well, the last tournament that they had a face-off, it was the bonus matches of 2015 iirc. OoT beat FFVII in that match.

Perhaps you are right that the remakes could make people's view of FFVII better as a whole, though.

A lot of times, I just find something else to occupy my mind. I like to speedrun, so my mind just focuses on the game instead.

Although, today, I had ribs and my mom really wanted me to eat shrimp and shrimp wontons with her. It was a lot. Going to have to take that away over a period of days.

Alright, I think I'm going to go ahead with a combination of ideas:

Private board, only users pre-July2019 are allowed in to post
CE, the polls will happen
Panel of users, candidates are Mabus, and I can't believe I'm saying this, Brutai, to help guide and vote for users each day. We need more, and I, myself, am not a voter on the panel as I do not want my vote to be discovered in any way. I will only vote through the poll option. If they feel a poll is compromised beyond belief, they can vote on a veto of the vote and each poster will just receive half of the poll points.

All will have 1/3 of the 100 points given out per matchup. I expect poll total fluctuations since certain days just have more popular posters thus more votes.

Well, as I said, I don't want the tournament to exclude lurkers, or those who want to vote in private. I just don't want it to be the sole way of determining the winner.

I like the year restriction. I would probably restrict it to anyone before July of 2019 since that is when the 2nd ceer tournament started with nominations. That way, if there is a chance someone created alts just for the tournament, their alts' vote would automatically be excluded from the post vote.

The way I worded it in OP would be a proportional vote off each section, but each section only has 1/3 of the weight. It's not winner-take-all for instance. Let me describe it if it was poster A vs poster B for instance.

Let's say this was the breakdown for the Poll, Post, and Panel

Poll: 33-19
Post: 5-9
Panel: 3-5

It wouldn't necessarily be in favor of poster B just because they won Post and Panel votes, it would be broke down into percentages of total vote and multiplied by 1/3 for each section:

Poster A:
Poll: 33/52x1/3 = .2115
Post: 5/14x1/3 = .1190
Panel: 3/8x1/3 = .125

Total: .4555

Poster B:
Poll: 19/52x1/3 = .1218
Post: 9/14x1/3 = .2143
Panel: 5/8x1/3 = .2083

Total: .5444

In this case, Poster B did win since they received 54.44% of the total points

It may seem like that is a lot of math for each day, but keep in mind, this would be me doing it, and I don't mind doing math. This way, the poll can still happen, and it would really make it hard for vote stuffing to decide winners. If someone who is clearly more popular is up by 10, and shenanigans happen to make them lose by 1 within 20 minutes, most likely, the panel and post vote will still make it where they win.

This would be the 4th annual best ceer tournament, and hopefully 3rd completed one.

2019 began with a bang, but ended with a whimper in terms of the competition. This year, I want some suggestions on how I can make the next 127 days of competition go along better.

Part of the issue last year was that I was IP restricting every single matchup, yet people were still finding ways to stuff votes. I did not want to intervene for the longest time because I have no proof, and I feel getting too involved will just make it not fun. I thought it would correct itself as well, but I can't say it really did. Many were disappointed with my actions last tournament, so I would like to think of new methods that could be used.

I still want the polling system because this tournament is for all CEers, including lurkers, that would rather not speak or keep their vote a secret. In the end, though, I think that this can no longer be the only way we decide winners, it should only be one factor in deciding.

I have heard some suggest posts should be another way of voting, and we simply count post votes. I am considering this, but there are a few things: this does not eliminate the problem of alts voting. I would like to take a more proactive approach and if I find an alt, I will ban both the alt and the main account from post voting for the rest of the tournament, and of course, not count their votes from then on. This will be different from my standard last year of sitting back and letting the tournament go on itself. To counter a flood of alts, I will create a karma floor to decide what votes count.

Lastly, I would like to create a panel of, say, 8 (the original CElite Eight if they would not mind) people who will vote every day themselves in secret, on a separate page, still deciding how, and their voting will also affect who wins.

I still have to decide how much each section will weigh, but if you have any suggestions, or would like to join the panel in case I decide to open it up to more than the CElite Eight, please give me anything you got! I want the 2020 competition to go better, that way, it can be more fun for all of us!

I hated Zelda's voice. Over the top damsel in distress who needed Link to save her so badly. I listened to a few of her lines in other languages, and none of them exaggerated her desperation as bad as the English version.

But maybe they'll do better in the next game. They could literally solve the problem by just hiring better voice actors.

Japanese was 10x worse. Her voice was way too over-the-top.
