Tonight, three of our brothers in blue were intentionally poisoned by one or more workers at the Shake Shack at 200 Broadway in Manhattan. After tasting the milk shakes they purchased they became ill, making it necessary for them to go to an area hospital. Fortunately, our fellow officers were not seriously harmed.

Police in New York City and across the country are under attack by vicious criminals who dislike us simply because of the uniform we wear. Emboldened by pandering elected officials, these cowards will go to great lengths to harm any member of law enforcement.

We MUST be more vigilant than ever. We urge you to not buy food from locations unknown to you. Keep your eyes open and be alert at all times. Make sure you always stay with your partner and back one another up. Inspect your vehicle personal and department before you drive.

Now, more than ever, we have to be united. Together, is how we will stay safe. Protect yourself and your fellow cops at all costs and the DEA will always protect you.

Never hesitate to contact your delegate, trustee, or the DEA office with any concerns.

Its silly to me that you even need to construct this argument because clearly sexual orientation is a logical extension of Title VII even if it wasnt explicitly spelled out in the law

This is where you get to the taking away a license isn't an appropriate punishment for the crime in my eyes. It affects t he poor more than the rich. Should the poor be unable to get to work to make money for their families, to the store to feed their families while the rich simply can afford to pay someone to drive them to do so? Is that an appropriate punishment?

from a moral perspective, there is no obligation to continue paying you for services that cannot be rendered. however, due to the unfair circumstances, should there be a way to pay them for other services, that ought to be looked into. if there isn't, then that should be the end of it as at that point you're just asking someone be given money for nothing, which is just an undue burden on that party,

Youre a big company like Wendys, you should be able to fix this for your workers, or let them choose to walk away themselves instead of getting relocated. Im not asking them to pay these employees who are now out of a workplace in perpetuity. Thats the governments job.

you're the one asking to change the rule and making it flowery by saying it's "ethical" to do something when there's no rules of business or moral aspect to this. your place of employment is gone. you do not have a place to work at anymore as the location got literally fired. it would be good policy to see if there are other places that they can work at, other job opportunities available inside the company, but if there aren't, well, you're out. asking for more than that is placing an undue burden on the business. there's no aspect of morality in this demanding you to continue being paid while doing nothing. they do not have an obligation to you, they have an obligation to your services. if that's completed, so too is your pay.

You speak like morals are something that are clearly defined and you can measure. To be fair, I am too.

Your moral code seems to say that if there is no defined obligation for an entity to do something, you cant fairly say they did something unethical if they fail to act. My moral code says otherwise.

Biggest steel producer in the world. They can afford to pay me a million dollars. They can't afford to pay me for my job and to make a profit at my plant when they are shutdown due to covid-19 down supply problems. I assume Wendy's can't continue to make a profit at that location and pay those employees either when it is burned down.
