As for the identity thing, I think it's because it's a part of them denied for so long, but now it's ok for them to be themselves. But it also depends on what you mean by having it be part of you, rather than a defining trait. As that is different from many people.For example, people were asking about the last time you did something. Many people mentioned the last time they did it, it was with an SO (they said either BF or GF depending on which they were). They were straight. As soon as a gay person said they same thing, but said BF instead of GF (they were a guy), people started yelling at him saying for throwing how he's gay in their faces again. Also, straight people can make a gay joke. But when a gay guy makes the same joke, it's considered throwing it in their faces. That one actually happened to me. Which is funny, because I made the joke, and a couple people quoted me. And one person even made the same joke, but slightly different. But a couple of posters took to just yelling at me. Luckily, the rest of the board told them to fuck off, but still... Personally, I'm not attracted to those types, either. Though, if you get in good, they can be good friends. But, eh... I can pass off as straight, though it may not seem like it. But I have pretty much made who I need to think I'm straight think I'm straight. So, it works. Many gay guys can easily pass off as straight... Though, I can usually tell... But it's not something you can just see or hear. You can sometimes sense it, but that's because of something else. But I haven't studied on the subject more. I'm gay, but wasn't molested as a kid. Nor have I molested anyone else. That being said, as a young child, I did do "stuff" with kids my own age. But never really sexual or anything. More of the "show me yours and I'll show you mine" type stuff... That being said, I did talk to one guy who was molested and we have a conversation about it. He mentioned that he was molested by a group of older boys at young age. While he says it didn't turn him gay, it did make sex not a big deal. During HS, he said he had sex with another guy, but not out of love of anything. They were both shy and had somewhat low self-esteem. And basically fucked just to have sex and get relief. While they both gave and received anal and oral, they didn't kiss. Which is a thing for most people, for some reason. Haha. The other guy tried once, but not after the first time. I think that was the only guy he ever had sex with, and that stopped after a year of so, IIRC. And he hasn't had sex with another guy since. And he does consider himself straight and has a steady GF right now. When I'm asked him about it, he says he's not attracted to men. But, he has no issues with a penis. So, a very convincing person transitioning from male to female (who looks like a female in pretty much every way, but still has penis) would be ok. He does like anal stuff, though that's not a gay thing. Most guys seem to have a problem with it, even though they don't know the pleasures awaiting them there because they think it's gay. And he doesn't mind sucking on one. But he's not attracted to the male body. So, his story is a little weird or different. While I don't personally think molestation really will change sexual orientation, I can't say for sure. I do think it has an impact on each person. Which could be probably anything. Like it could be desensitization of sex, for example. I have heard many times from the people they catch molesting others that they were molested as a kid. I don't think every molested kid goes out there molesting others. I do think that it may affect some people in that way where they go out and do it. As a gay guy who had fucked many gay guys, and who knows many gay guys, the lisp is not something you just get from being gay.
