Hmm. This is most likely fake, but apparently a leak claims FFXVI will be announced this summer. It is directed by Yoshi-P. It has a large open world with seamlessly integrated cities and dungeons, with a Job system like classic FF, and like a magic and steampunk setting/conflict like VI and XIV. That sounds too good to be true. We'll see.

I thought it was bad. And most people apparently say that the motion controls don't work. Honestly, outside of play the harp, which just fucking didn't work at all, the rest of the game I never really had any problems with the controls. The problem is, that game is boring as fuck, and it doesn't help that Phi or Fi or Fe or whatever the fuck her name is treats you like you're 2. Yes, I saw the fucking chest appear, why the FUCK are you telling me to go open it.

Also Brewster isn't in the game, but very VERY rarely, villagers will mention him by name say what their favorite drink is. So it seems very likely that The Roost will be added sometime.

Edit: Also also Gyroids aren't in the game, but the official player's guide explains how to obtain them even though you can't.. So Gyroids are likely to be added soon as well.

Oh and by dungeons, I mean 4-man instanced content. You'll be doing a lot of that, but, it's fun and that's how you get gear and stuff! There's also 8-man and 24-man raid content at level cap which is currently 80. And raids have their own separate stories.

Yes FFXIV is very story heavy. In fact, almost everything in the game is locked behind the main story, or MSQ as it's known in game. And yes it's one of the best FF stories, especially as you get farther along. The latest expansion Shadowbringers is universally agreed to be the best FF story since the PS1 games. And every 3-4 months they add more story content. And on top of all of that, it's a top notch MMO. And while the story segments themselves are single player, you'll still run into players all over the world, and there are also dozens and dozens of dungeons in the game, most of which are required content as you work your way through the story.

Edit: Also the MSQ is 100% linear. In order to play the latest story you have to play everything that came before. So A Realm Reborn -> 2.x -> Heavensward -> 3.x -> Stormblood -> 4.x -> Shadowbringers -> 5.x

Currently the patch is 5.2, and 5.3 will wrap up Shadowbringers, then 5.4 and 5.5 will setup 6.0
Also, in 5.3 they are revamping ARR and 2.x to make it more streamlined and to remove a lot of the filler quests.

Space Diamond and Time Pearl. Apparently somebody that leaked gen 7 and 8 info is now saying these remakes are coming. Honestly, contrary to popular opinion, Diamond and Pearl I thought were hot garbage, and actually turned me off of Pokemon until ORAS came out.
