Thanks man. I think I did pretty game one, I was being very offensive and it was working out for me it seemed like. He took the game, but I couldn't ask for a better outcome. He's a really good player. Game two I didn't do as well as I was hoping, and his egg throw + upair was really sick.

I did did alright in the crew battle, I beat the first opponents wii fit trainer. Started off the second game with two stocks against a Pac-Man. Took one stock from the Pac-Man and then lost. I was satisfied with my results

Tier 2 - Decent - Lucky charms, Golden Crisp, smacks, Capn crunch, Reese's Puffs, Oreo O's, Trix, Honey Nut Cheerios, frosted flakes, mini wheats

I can't speak for other games, but I know when Smash Bros friendly fire is important to have on, otherwise you could resort to shady tactics. Friendly fire forces you to be careful with your attacks and adds a new element to the game.

I count it is one game because it should have been one game. no one should play just Sonic 3, or just Sonic & knuckles. Having them locked on is the only real way to play it.

So this is probably the most ridiculous answer out there, but part of the reason I got into smash was because I want to use it as a gateway to get to know more people and to make friends. And I'm a little competitive, I enjoy winning. Sometimes I do take things personally that I shouldn't. Raging at the TV screen lmao.

Truth is I haven't tried every character in the roster. Right now Yoshi is my favorite character to play as, but that could change. He just feels the most comfortable to play as. DK, although very different from Yoshi, I also find him comfortable to use.

Honestly I love the game. This is also my first smash game since 64. Only played melee and brawl once or twice, never played smash 4 at all.

You definitely did bring up some good points, and I really do appreciate your input.

Thanks man. yep I'm just going to continue sticking with the same formula, looking over my matches and seeing what I can do to improve. All I got to do, got to keep the emotions out of it. With that said I feel much better, my other post was seconds after I lost.

I joined that Sonic banned tournament and played horrible

First opponent was OVA9k's Mega Man. Very close two games. Both games I was in the lead and then he was able to catch up and kill me last minute. I was definitely super upset about that one, I thought this would be my first win. I wasn't too familiar with the Mega Man matchup, so I took a lot of unnecessary damage because I wasn't familiar with how his projectiles work. If it was best of five maybe I would have had a chance.

Second game was against Jenova. I don't really know what to say. This game was so bad, I almost threw it in purpose to save him time. It's almost like he studied my gameplay before the match started, he knew everything that I was going to do. Every role that I did he predicted, he was able to punish me. It was actually really scary how good this guy was. It was almost like a tool assisted player. Probably the best player I've ever faced. He 3 stocked me both matches, and I don't think I got more than 40% either game. The game was so bad, afterwards he told me "you have a lot to learn". He was nice enough to critique me. He said "Don't always use your double jump if you get hit, don't force yourself out of disadvantage all the time with your attack, and play more patiently." This is good advice but I'm just shocked that he was able to make this conclusion based on 30 seconds of gameplay. That's crazy.

It also made me a little sad because I noticed that he critiqued some things that other people have critiqued me on in the past, making me realize that I'm not retaining things that people are telling me. It makes me think in the back of my head that maybe I'm not meant to be part of this smash community, and that every time I battle someone I'm just wasting their time. I know the game was supposed to be fun, but on a high level people take this very seriously.

On the plus side, at least when signing up for these tournaments it doesn't take me very much time to compete. And I know the game is supposed to be fun, and it is.

they're really nice looking, but they're walmart brand and falling apart. on one stool, the seat is caving in and breaking apart. the other stool is fine, although screws are falling out. ive been able to put the screws back in tho.

imo i like the N64 controller. may not be the best controller, but i had no issues with it

however, one of the biggest flaws with it was the analog stick. it would ware out easily, especially with games like mario part

nonetheless, i loves the different translucent colors it came in, like purple, blue, red and green

Competitively, Nidoqueen had better defenses and Nidoking had better offenses.

Nidoking was pretty much always forced to run offensive sets, but is very good at doing that.

Nidoqueen could mix match a little more. She could run some bulk or some offense, whichever you preferred. But her power was lacking compared to Nidoking.

I have no opinion about online anything, because I've never played smash competitively offline. Can't say I would be any better playing offline, I'm not very good at getting perries or techs. I have played some laggy games, but when the connection is okay on both ends, I honestly don't notice a difference.

Went 0-2 lol

I fought Gecko round 1. A very good wolf main. First round he creamed me, second round was definitely closer. I had the lead for a short time, but he was able to bring it back.

In losers I fought ZoraQC. I fought Byleth a few times online, definitely a character I'm capable of overcoming, but Byleth can really mess you up with her disjoints. In both games I sort of forgot the range of some of her moves, and took a lot of damage because of it. Zora used one of her attacks (I think down B?), and I hid behind her waiting to punish her, thinking that I would be safe, but forgot that Byleth's attack will help both in front and behind her. So I lost a stock right there. Lost both games right there. Zora asks if he wanted to be friends with me on discord so we can practice more. I jumped on that one. He's a nice dude.

I tried to relax a little bit and not take it personally. I tried going into this not really thinking about it as much as I usually do. I think I did worse than usual though lol, and I don't have as much to say about my games either. I saved all four of them though.

onyx sucks. he maybe has resistance to fire, but his special defense is ass, and all fire type moves are special in gen 2 (unless you're playing the remake) so fire type moves are going to still do a lot of damage.

steelix is overall much better
