I've heard of minimum donations, never heard of maximum donations

according to a streamer i watch, they've never seen an option for a max dono.

also you can set minimum donations for an alert to appear, but still accept smaller donations that won't show on stream

Mandated online check ins (at least at reveal, can't remember if it was a thing at launch)

No used games (at least at reveal)

Massive size that would take up half or more of a smaller TV stand or wouldn't fit under a TV on legs

Its no wonder it didn't sell. But the biggest nail in the coffin was the reveal that everyone hated and clowned the ever loving fuck shit out of for being such dog shit.

You really don't have to follow trends. I've seen streamers make decent livings doing their own things.

I've seen a few streamers get uncomfortable with huge donations and do that before. They thank them for the donation and then say something like "if you sober up in the morning or change your mind, please let me know and I can let you have this back."

can't say I've ever seen that specifically said but I think the biggest (cash) donation I've ever seen might've been like $500

the biggest cheers I've seen in a single stream from a single user is like 200,000 bits (straight $2,000 + like $520 to Twitch/Amazon if you're buying 10K bits at a time, plus you can't charge back bits so that's legit $2,500+ spent).

Well that can be a part of it.

Also can be a way to grow a community.

I've been gifted a sub in channel, went back because of the sub, and became a regular viewer of the stream.

There can also be the element of feeling good about doing it.

Xbox One committed a form of suicide at launch and a lot of people initially jumped ship and got the ball rolling. And Xbox One never had that moment to draw people back so PS4 is the default go to option for most everyone

I've been witness to similarly tasteless jokes between friends but that was strictly at a friend level and wasn't put on social media to be blasted. Not that it was okay, but context made it a slight bit less offensive to the senses.

Joking about lynching and killing a fellow student should carry massive penalties. Maybe not life/career devastating penalties because they're still young but there's got to be a way to convey kids how wrong this kind of shit is.

Most streamers stipulate that refunds/charge backs are not allowed and a lot only accept donations through PayPal and good look getting PayPal to do anything

From 50% I can be charged to 85% in half an hour or less and to 100% in under an hour

I plugged mine in like 90 minutes ago at 20% and it's only at 90% now

And it's on the official dock charger(but not in a dock, just plugged in directly)
