Yeah I saw that too. I have to believe he felt untouchable. Like ExTha pointed out, even if you are the most racist, most evil person, you usually behave differently when your actions are being recorded. You at least understand how society expects you to behave. He clearly did not care, probably because he didn't think people would care.

He had cameras on him, knew he had cameras on him, the guy was begging for his life while the cameras were on him, he went motionless while the cameras were on him and the cop didn't even blink once. None of the other three officers were like "hey uh I think he's probably subdued" either.

The only thing that makes sense is he's gotten away with stuff like this before (maybe not straight up murder but abuse of power in some way) and it didn't even occur to him he could face consequences. I can't make sense of it any other way. Like you said, people were recording what he was doing and he saw them doing so.

So I haven't done a rewatch recently because after the final seasons I saw no reason to subject myself to it again. But doing a quick look through of IMDB episodes, season 5 is where there is no recovery from the downward spiral. Like there are some really good episodes in terms of cinematography, but the story is in a spiral that point. There are really good episodes like Hardhome or the season 6 finale that do interesting things, but the show is on a major decline at that point.

I can't pinpoint the exact peak of the show though as I don't remember all the episodes perfectly. The writing was the best in season 1, I feel like, but the overall story was probably more interested in seasons 2-3 or maybe 4. I'd have to do another rewatch to give an exact answer. Seasons 5-6 are far lower in quality than the first four and 7-8 are straight garbage. So I guess my answer for now would be season 5 as the writing in that one took such a nosedive that it became obvious it wouldn't recover. Dunno where the precise peak happens at though so that isn't quite what you're asking.

Season 7 and season 8 are borderline unwatchable nonsense.

Season 6 had the finale, and there were some good parts in seasons 5/6. I think all the seasons before that were more good than bad. I don't think I could tell you where the peak was in seasons 1-4. I haven't rewatched any episodes at all since the finale as it pretty much killed my interest in the show entirely!

Pinning someone to the ground by putting your knee on their neck for 8-9 minutes isn't trigger anything, that's deliberate and is for quite a long time, way more than you need to subdue someone, hell way more than you need to KO someone.

This one's straight up an issue of power tripping cops with a possibility of racism. But trigger happy =/= power tripping, former shows lack of control, latter shows too much of it. But if your issue is they may have too much power i mean sure, valid argument, but there's no power shown here that he shouldn't have. Restraining someone? Coming by on a tip of illegal activities? Even the specific restraint is probably fine. He simply abused his authority.

My "favorite" is already eliminated which was Masters of Teras Kasi. I know it is a bad game, but it was a Star Wars fighting game and I played an insane amount of it back in the day.

Of the ones that are left, I "like" probably 11 of them or so either through playing them and being too dumb to know they were awful as a kid or through the awful block in GDQs. The only one I really hate is Friday the 13th. I played that as a kid on our old NES and I don't know if I hated a game more. I kept trying to beat it, too, which I think makes me legally a dummy.

Jefferson did not want to be dragged into the Napoleonic Wars more than he already had been and at Madison's urging simply banned all foreign trade to prevent ships from being seized and American sailors from being impressed as soldiers in these European wars.

And the fact that Clinton is essentially running on the platform of "this guy is not anti-federalist enough I will be even more anti-federalist" makes it the least bad option.
