But I'm not doing it for him or for anyone else, I'm doing it for me. My boyfriend doesn't care how long my body hair gets in any region, but I care because of the maintenance and cost. It's a personal choice for myself so I don't have to worry about shaving or waxing when I want to go swimming or wear shorts or deal with painful ingrown hairs. It's the same as getting a haircut or using lotions and oils to treat your skin; body maintenance. Nobody is telling me I have to do this, I want to do it. And it's not all my body hair, just my legs and pubic region. I'll still have arm, underarm, and stomach hair that I'll shave or leave alone. --- |

Body hair is natural and to get grossed out by it is just silly social conditioning. If you're THAT concerned about it, like, really concerned, you can pay for your girl to get waxed or to get laser removal treatment, if she's down for either of those options. But it's getting to the point that to expect someone to modify their body for your pleasure or well being is too much to ask. Now, if you're both on the same page about it being a hot button issue and want to do something about it equally, then that's fine. But if you're more concerned about it than the person whose body is attached to the hair, then you should probably re-evaluate where your priorities are and if you're seeing the right person. My boyfriend doesn't care how long or short my body hair is in any region. Hell, sometimes he gets a kick out of it being longer because it's the sign of a grown woman and "not a little girl" as he puts it. I mean, would any of you guys want to be in a relationship with a girl that wanted you to shave your own armpits and manscape regularly because having hair like that "is just gross" to her? Or would you call her shallow and demanding? It goes both ways. --- |

| SableWolfAngel 04/20/20 3:38:41 AM #10 | I sometimes feel alone because my boyfriend is still working and when he comes home, he takes a long nap (usually about 2-3 hours), then plays video games alone for a while before wanting to do anything with me. This was especially pronounced on Saturday when he came home around 6:30, ate, then jumped into bed around 7:30 and didn't wake up until a little after midnight. I think he might have been reading at first when he was in bed, but he was definitely out by 8:10 because I called my grandmother then and was on the phone with her for an hour and a half and I could hear him snoring. Then he eventually got up, but could only manage to stay awake until around 2:30 then just went right back to bed and woke up around 10:30 Sunday morning. No, I'm not completely alone, but it sometimes feels like it with how much of his time is taken up by work, sleep, and personal hobbies. Two hours or less of personal time with him a day isn't really enough socialization for any healthy person, but it is better than nothing. I don't want him to feel like he's not allowed to have his own time, but being in isolation is tough for me in ways he doesn't really understand since his routine hasn't changed much since this shutdown happened. Sometimes he even says he wishes he could "be on vacation" like me, but this is more like house arrest than vacation. It's not like I'm having fun trapped at home all day. I'm mostly just... lonely. --- |

Not enough to be self sustaining for a family (lots aren't very large) but that's where a lot of people in homes are going.My boyfriend's mother is an expert gardner. She grows zucchinis the size of a medium dog and cooks a lot of stuff from scratch. It's definitely doable, though it requires the space and skills to pull off such a thing. I don't think I could do all that. --- |
