N-Nuh-uh! It's just the flu you big babies! I want a haircut! I want to eat at diners! I want to go to bars! The quarantine violates my rights! Coronavirus is unconstitutional! WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

I'm still not too sure if a 0.5% death rate is worth completely wrecking an economy over, though. Particularly if it's going to be here for the foreseeable future.

Reading more, so apparently Adam and his mother are saying she has been trying to file lawsuits against her family for monetary gain for a while now?

While I hope that my sister gets the help she needs to find peace, this needs to end. For many years, she has relentlessly and falsely attacked me and other members of my family to anyone who will listen."
"By spreading numerous untrue stories about us in pursuit of a financial bonanza, she has tortured our entire family and estranged herself from all of us," he continued. "I will fight this groundless and offensive lawsuit and work to put this to rest once and for all."
His mother Karen Savage also issued a statement via Brettler, saying, "It makes me very sad to say this, but my daughter suffers from severe mental health challenges, and it's devastating that she's putting Adam and our entire family through this. Adam is a good man, and I support him completely."

It would be nearly impossible to prove he did that to her, especially since this quote seems like the family is against her also.

If she has indeed filed multiple frivolous lawsuits in order to try to gain money, it certainly doesn't seem like this is a lawsuit that would work out in her favor

You said I'm not in it for the genuine concern or understanding. What is there to understand, exactly? Am I supposed to understand why their hate speech rule is the way it is and doesn't apply to everyone?

I'm terribly sorry for a split second I assumed an American based site was referring to the majority in the U.S. And even gave an example of why they probably are (RE: Do you really think Reddit will allow hate speech against Asians but not white people?)

I thought the same thing, but TC isnt in this for genuine concern or understanding so instead its just pure victim complex.

Though others mentioned it's a global site, and white people aren't technically the majority in the world, I somehow doubt they would allow hate speech against Asians but not white people.

Either way, seems like a bad policy. If you're going to have a hate speech rule... why not enforce it across the board?

You bolded a quote from someone. Good job. Do you have examples of POC exhibiting Karen behavior and not being called one? And no, a public freak out doesnt instantly mean Karen. Its the ones who throw a fit and destroy a store because they were asked to wear a mask and trivial things like that. Its just coincidence that the people who do that most tend of overlap categories.

You can read the whole Wikipedia page about it. The whole thing indicates it's a pejorative for a white woman. If you Google "What is a Karen?" there's also plenty of articles that all reference it being a word exclusively for white women.

So I think you're wrong saying it's a term used for everyone. It's not.

And of course there's examples of people of all races behaving entitled/badly in a store. If you think only white woman do it, you're kidding yourself.

But I see it used for other races. I also see it used for males. It just so happens to mostly be white women that exhibit speak to your manager behavior.

Do you have any examples? Particularly a mainstream example of a Karen from another race? I haven't seen any other examples. Wikipedia also suggests it is used towards one race.

"There has been some debate as to whether "Karen" is a slur.[11] While the term is used exclusively in a pejorative manner towards a person of a specific race and gender, some have argued that "Karen" lacks the historical context to be considered a slur, and that calling it one trivializes actual discrimination.[12] Others argue that the targets of the term have immense privilege, and that "an epithet that lacks the power to discriminate is just an insult."[11] Hadley Freeman argued that use of the meme has become less about describing behavior than controlling it and "telling women to shut up".[13] Jennifer Weiner, writing in the New York Times during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, said the meme had succeeded in silencing her, saying she had had to balance her desire to complain about a nearby man coughing into the open air, hawking and spitting on the sidewalk, with her fear of being called a Karen.[14]"
