"It's yours." You use magic to hold your drink safely in place and grab your burger. You have Shadowfax drive himself so that you can unwrap the burger, admire the way it all looks, then take a big bite. The bacon and lettuce are crisp, the Monterey cheese is creamy, the sauce is tangy and the meat is juicy. The grilled onions is a great touch, too. Raven carefully unwraps her burger and takes a bite. "Mmm," she says. "Not bad." "Mhm," you nod while chewing. You and Raven each sip your sodas, and use more magic to hold your fries in place as you eat them out of the little boxes. "What car should we get?" she asks. "I'm not really a car expert, I just know the basics." "Well, I'm not much better," you say. "The real concern is towing Shadowfax along. We'll need some kind of cart for that, and the vehicle we rent will need to be strong enough to do it." "Ooo, so like an SUV or something?" "Yes, that might be good," you say. You unwrap the butter and use your knife to spread it between the pancakes. You pour the syrup all over before cutting the pancakes. You pop a piece in your mouth, and it definitely soaked the syrup right up. "This is pretty good," Raven says about the hashbrowns. "Just crisp enough." "Same goes for my bacon," you say as you pick up a strip. You and Raven eat up and are very satisfied with the meal. The bill comes out to be $14.54. You leave $3 as a 20% tip and then head out on the road. Fort Washita the historic site is near the small town of Bee, Oklahoma, so you make your way through Broken Bow, Idabel and Hugo, then Soper and Boswell, Bennington and Bokchito, Blue and Durant. Durant is the biggest town for miles, so you have no choice but to get lunch here. You already stopped in a diner, so IHOP and Applebee's aren't really what you're after. You want something fast so naturally, fast food such as burgers and fires are best. You have plenty of choices there so you go with... "What are we going to do for your birthday? I know our parents are meeting and all that, but what's the party going to be like?" "Hmm, I hadn't put thought to that myself," you say. "We were heading to Mount Hood for the Timberline Lodge, but that was when it was just you and I. I think we could reserve something." You quickly use your phone to research the Timberline Lodge.
