Like I said before, whether "stop Bernie" is the direct intention is totally irrelevant when literally the only effect she has by staying in is actually stopping Bernie.

You guys are basically arguing that she's only staying in because she's somehow ignorant of the effect it has? Are we gonna infantalize Warren or recognize the goal here. Stop Bernie, get a brokered convention, and then what? Become the nominee with potentially 0 states won? Become Biden's VP?

Both of these things rely on stopping Bernie.

It really is largely "socialism bad" which is why when Bernie was leading their biggest attacks were "socialism bad." Way too many people think they're temporarily displaced millionaires who think the government needs to get out of the way. And despite red state's being some of the leaders in number of people, they still overwhelmingly vote Republican.

That's what you need to overcome. I can't even explain to my dad how his social security check is socialism. He just argues that he's getting back the money he paid in while working.

Its really not the issue, because Bernie has identified as Dem-Soc for years and up until this election season he was LITERALLY the most liked member of Congress.

A lot of it is down to the media and establishment telling so many people Bernie cant win. Its a self-fulfilling prophecy, I cant tell you how many people Ive seen say they support Warren or Biden because everyone told them Bernie cant win.

There was that 2 week period where it looked like Bernie was going to win, and the media literally didnt know how to report on it because they were so unprepared. You want to compare it to Trump, its exactly like Trump, except Conservatives heard the media telling them Trump couldnt win and rebelled against it because thats in their nature. Democrats on the other hand, are generally extremely pragmaticto their detriment, so its more effectively used on the Left.

I know Biden has said he wants a woman or a minority as his VP. I think Kamala or Warren would be good picks to try and draw some of the more progressive voters over to Biden.Given Biden's age though, I'm guessing they won't go that route.

Warren as VP could be nice but also a pretty direct shot across the bow of the Bernie base, solidifying the message of everyone was against Bernie from the start.

But I don't think anything she said or done has indicated she's trying to play "spoiler". I think it is far more likely she is desperate to become Sanders VP. Her comments were more along the lines of "I want to get as many delegates as I can". You could be right - it could be playing spoiler she wants to do. But based on her similarity in policy positions and her very mild comments on Sanders overall thus far, I think she wants more delegates so she is in a better position to argue with Sanders that she should be VP.

Last year all the way up to January they were basically hammering Bernie every single day that he needed to pledge to support the nominee, not be mean, not attack anyone else, give it up to Biden, etc.

But as soon as Bernie took the lead, all of those rules went out the window. How many times have we seen a report that they're secretly discussing Michelle Obama/Sharrod Brown/*cough*Bloomberg*cough*/literally anyone else jumping into the race to stop Bernie?

Keep in mind, this ENTIRE TIME, Bernie has polled the best or a close second in matchups against Trump in the general. If they were really so concerned about Trump, they would be supporting this guy without reservation, or at least GENUINELY staying out of the way.

But they're not.

Prepping? I've been here! Unless we get turnout that shows an inspired voterbase, Trump is going to be President until 2024.

The Dem leadership who would do literally anything to stop Bernie 100% want Trump over him, because with Trump in charge they stay relevant. On the other hand, if Bernie takes over the party, Democratic voters might realize how irrelevant the current leadership actually is.
