Amazing Spider-Man 2 I know the first reaction is gonna be "WTF why is Spider-Man 2 so low???" and I will counter by saying SM2 is still a damn good movie BUT I just like Tom Holland's Spidey more than Tobey Maguire. As for why I ranked it lower than the first one: 1) I love Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, but Dafoe's Green Goblin is just iconic. Outside of JK as J. Jonah, he's the best part of the entire trilogy IMO. 2) Spider-Man has this early 2000s vibe that just feels really good to come back to. 3) Mary Jane is REALLY insufferable in 2 compared to 1 and considering she's so important to the plot... Spider-Man 3 is also a surprisingly hilarious time looking back on it --- I have nothing else to say |
