Fair Use would almost apply, with DMCA treating the very thin encryption as the legal brick wall getting in the way.

I'd say 90%+ of newer stuff is all comfortably on Vudu. But yeah it isn't everything new/older stuff.

Best I can tell I could legally rip my own media and put it on a server but owning the physical media but then acquiring the digital copy through other means would still be illegal.

I have a ridiculous number of DVDs and Blurays. Now most newer things do come with a digital code and that is definitely awesome, but for those things that don't or older stuff that I've had a while or whatever... it's just a lot easier to run a media server and stream stuff to any TV in my house and be able to start and stop whenever, etc, instead of finding a DVD and potentially having to finish it in another room later, etc.

No.

This election is a foregone conclusion and Trump will win a second term.

And that's coming from a guy who thinks nearly every moment of Trump's term so far has been a travesty.

Yeah, pretty much the same. I do think Biden has a possibility of pulling it off if they can keep him duct taped together for 10 months here but if he gets the nom I think he'll fall apart by the election. Of course Trump has fallen apart constantly since announcing his candidacy and it hasn't hurt him, but alas.

Bernie wouldn't stand a chance. I don't know why so many people act like he's a shoe-in if he can get the nomination. He can pull in some usual non-voters and bring in younger voters that probably don't turn out for Biden, but a huge swath of middle America blue collar democrats are never going to vote for him. They'll stay home or vote for Trump (vote for Trump again in some cases, he didn't win Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc without winning over some usual union democrat voters).

If Biden doesn't implode he can win the blue dogs back. Win them back, all those states Trump won my the tiniest of margins in 2016 go blue, and Trump is done.

Then we have to put up with Biden for four years, but hey.

Never posted on their walls after the fact.

Some people will post birthday messages like, "Happy birthday, wish you were still with us!" or "Happy birthday in heaven!" But I always shake my head sadly at the random "friends" they had that clearly aren't in the loop and post stupid things like they are still alive on their birthday. >_>

I want to like Biden as a candidate. He's always made the occasional weird statement and done the occasional creepy Uncle Joe thing, but either his brain has really aged in the last four years or no one was paying super close attention to him because the attention was obviously on President Obama and then on Hillary and Sanders within the party since he didn't run in 2016. I don't know. It's not like Trump is a paragon of great speaking but it seems Biden is really all over the place these days.

I'm a moderate republican who would happily take a moderate democrat over whatever that thing in the White House is now. I hope Biden can do it since it looks like that's what the party is trying to accomplish here. I liked Pete the best I think, without actiually digging into any of his policies--he kinda had that Obama-esque ability to speak and not sound like a complete moron, which I miss in today's Presidents, but I mostly saw hate for him from both democrats and republicans so I apparently was missing something.
