Really sad how people in NYC are lining up in the emergency room with mild symptoms like fever or cough.

Mild symptoms = contagious. Asymptomatic = contagious as well. Both should be treated seriously and tested. Only testing the super ill means we have thousands of undetected carriers who will spread the virus and create new hotspots. Also with how long the virus takes to incubate a mild case can easily turn into a serious case.

There's no excusing what they did. He died on the way to the public hospital they forced him to drive to on his own. They should have at the very least called an ambulance for him, but nope. They threw him out and he went into cardiac arrest on the way there, fell unconscious, got revived only to die in the hospital 6 hours later because it was too late for the hospital to do anything.

4.We are still behind in testing and Trump doesn't want to test people who don't have symptoms even though 80% of people infected with the virus will probably have mild to no symptoms, and asymptomatic carriers are still contagious.

To be fair that wasn't the hospital he named. That was the hospital whose triage policy got tweeted out in the comments. As far as I'm aware we don't know the hospital in question and if it is indeed true we'll probably get confirmation tomorrow. Considering NYC ran out of ventilators and is having to share them between patients (which is dangerous) it wouldn't surprise me if the tweet was true.

He hasn't changed his tone considering he's seriously trying to open the country in two weeks. The infection here isn't close to peaking. Trump opening the country before it peaks leads to delaying the peak, infecting, and probably killing a hell of a lot more people that would have gotten infected/killed if he just kept things closed. Furthermore, the second hospitals get overwhelmed the market will crash far faster than it did while things were closed. We're not testing enough. Even the professionals are saying we're not testing enough. In IL my wife and I can't get tested despite the ER physician telling us we most likely have the virus because we're not sick enough, because in IL the only way to get tested is to be in the ICU, have been in contact with someone who has the virus, or be elderly. So bragging about our testing numbers is laughable considering the real infected number is easily a whole lot worse.

Probably due to the long incubation time. Since it can take a while for symptoms to pop up people might not be going out to get tested until they start getting the symptoms.

I know it looks bad, but I'm a glass half full guy and right now there's less than 400 deaths out of the 35,000 infected in New York. Those people didn't need to die, but 400/35,0000 is a lot better than 15,000/35,000. God willing more recover quickly.

Yes you have the symptoms of COVID-19. A lot of people do not develop a fever. My wife and I were told by the ER doctor that we most likely have it despite not having fevers but didn't have bad enough symptoms to get tested. So yeah quarantine yourself and keep track of your symptoms. If you start running a fever or it gets harder to breathe then call your doctor or get to the hospital ASAP.

Trump is lying out his ass on testing. It's still difficult as fuck to get a test. I was at the ER yesterday with my wife because she was having a difficult time breathing after she developed a bad cough and we were told that her symptoms weren't severe enough to get tested because IL is having a rough time getting a hold of tests.
