Kombucha 05/04/20 9:33:32 PM #16 | Now would be the time to buy the 13" MacBook Pro, as they just updated it with the magic keyboard today. https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2020/05/apple-updates-13-inch-macbook-pro-with-magic-keyboard-double-the-storage-and-faster-performance/ --- |

Kombucha 05/04/20 12:38:40 PM #16 | I used to have a red bull every couple days from the ages of 18-19 before I stopped. Beveren_Rabbit posted... Would you say they had a negative impact on your health? 1.) No 2.) Yes, but I wouldn't want to. --- |
Topic | I don't even feel like a person any more. |
Kombucha 05/04/20 11:38:21 AM #11 | KogaSteelfang posted... With nothing meaningful to use it on, it wouldn't help. It'd just expand the options of escapism I'm already using. Maybe the trade itself and the community that ends up around you due to the trade would be enough to create meaning and a feeling of purpose. --- |

Topic | Do you possibly waste time from day to day on the Internet? And if so, how? |
Kombucha 05/04/20 11:17:39 AM #5 | GuillermoGage posted... Do you ever think that the way you use the Internet is unproductive and unfulfilling and gets you nowhere? No, in fact for the most part I think most of the ideas I've picked up online have changed my life for the better. That said, there is a portion of time spent that is going to be of lesser quality. Do you think you genuinely use the Internet to learn new things and express yourself and exercise your mind? I probably use it in this way most of the time. Do you get into Internet arguments? Do you think "winning" Internet arguments is worth the time spent crafting the perfect replies? I typically avoid rash confrontation online because it's almost always fruitless. It's worth my time to create constructive responses to others regarding issues in some cases where I can modify my own thoughts on a subject due to new information. It's also helpful to type out my thoughts on something to help me really dig into how I think about whatever subject which helps with determining validity. Do you get drawn to clickbait too easily? Do you browse forums aimlessly and browse "social media" looking for some sort of dopamine rush without knowing what that could even be? Typically I stay away from the emotionally charged topics and highly political stuff which I would define as clickbait. I don't think social media is inherently bad but rather it's just a tool for what you decide to use it as. I'm mindful about crafting what I'm exposed to in the way of following subjects/interests. Typically I will peruse reddit for niche interests that help me think about what to do next or how to improve something. That said I think GameFAQs is probably at the bottom of the bucket when it comes to expanding on specific ideas or subjects but it's great as a platform to just joke around or talk about whatever. Few platforms really have a good "general" for discussion so that's what I use this as, and to that end there might be some reward involved. I also put it above the likes of most other social media in that the design isn't as manipulative. Do you possibly waste time from day to day on the Internet? There's definitely not a 100% growth rate with my time spent anywhere online, but I'd say maybe 65% of my time spent online is related to growth while the rest is potentially wasted. Given that I work online I consider my work hours part of that in the way of possible career growth. I'd throw hobby based subreddits, site building and maintaining relationships into growth, while the rest is potentially time spent on platforms that would be better spent elsewhere. There's always going to be room for improvement. --- |

Kombucha 05/04/20 10:47:07 AM #3 | So far it's 30s, not counting these past few months though because the lockdown has put a damper on having a life. --- |
Topic | Have you been sick at all this year? |
Kombucha 05/04/20 10:45:04 AM #2 | Yeah, burning lungs, loss of taste/smell and an endless cough a few months back. First time I'd been sick in a few years. --- |

Kombucha 05/03/20 12:07:40 PM #2 | Someone on here mentioned that they had invested in USO (United States Oil Fund) not long ago. I'm not sure if that is the best approach though, as someone else pointed out it's technically a partnership and a nightmare to report on taxes. --- |
Topic | I've taken a weird interest in studio apartments... |
Kombucha 05/03/20 11:58:40 AM #2 | Nice. I think if you can get by and be content in a space that small, more power to you. People that can will probably end up saving more and possibly working less of their lives away in the long run as well. --- |
Topic | Going to a dentist without the cleaning. |
Kombucha 05/03/20 11:56:03 AM #10 | EnragedSlith posted... I havent been to a dentist in like 10 years. My teeth are fine. Yeah, my current dentist wants a cleaning every six months which seems excessive. I had a period with no coverage for about a decade and ended up getting two cavities filled but I could feel those and easily point to the problem areas. --- |

Topic | Going to a dentist without the cleaning. |
Kombucha 05/03/20 11:37:33 AM #6 | When they open back up I'm going to make a call and see if I can get any local dentists to do work without a cleaning and see what happens. Usually in my experience the assistants do the cleaning and the dentist runs a pick through my teeth after to find cavities anyways. SwayM posted... Yeah theyre trying to get PAID I'm trying to save, so we'll see how that goes. R1masher posted... Its like anal sex lol --- |
Topic | Going to a dentist without the cleaning. |
Kombucha 05/03/20 11:17:02 AM #1 | Is this a thing? Every dentist I've ever been to has insisted on a cleaning before addressing cavities. Is it some unwritten rule that a dentist can't address a problem without a cleaning? --- |

Kombucha 05/03/20 9:53:10 AM #12 | I had been on some pirated version for single player back in the day and I posted some of my builds, a LUEser was kind enough to gift me a code for the game circa 2012 or so. I didn't ask, they just did it, which was really cool. --- |

Kombucha 05/02/20 6:13:11 PM #52 | Airpods were released in 2016 IIRC. Prices have really come down. I purchased Xiaomi Redmi Airdots for a mere $25 to try out the wireless approach and I have zero complaints. --- |
