Let's recap the last few years.

My ex found another man and moved out for him. Lived together seven years. That hurt. Happened in January of 2019, doing better, but still haven't dated a soul. Can't bring myself to.

The patch with her gone hurt financially and I got about 2k in credit card debts until I found a new job that paid better. That said;

I'm a bartender, and work a lot of hours that are unusual to boot. 4pm-2am five or six days a week is regular. Makes a social life tough, but I do have one.

I have numerous mental and physical health issues going untreated because I don't have HC options at my job, and can't afford public because of the three above aspects.

I live far away from family in a city I no longer have a desire to be in because she wanted to move here. I don't drive, so I miss a lot of engagements with them and miss them.

I'm depressed because life is challenging. It's climbing an icy hill and I don't even have goals, I'm just trying to survive. I can't afford or have the time to go back to school.

I could go on and on. Shit's tough right now.

I'm not minding it. In fact, it's a pretty nice break objectively. I haven't really been single since I was 18. I'm 29 now, and finally am again. Whether they were a few month flings in my teens, or the most recent ex of mine lived with me for seven years (!) before she cheated on me and moved out. I think I'd rather willingly choose to just be single, relaxed, financially stable and not intertwined in anyone else's drama or emotions or business or worries or expectations.

Getting laid / going out / having friends is still alive and well for me. But dating someone, being a couple? I'm good.

King usually ends his stories abruptly and oddly, none more so recently that I've read than The Stand, Cell, and The Outsider. Dark Tower too from back in the day. I rarely remember him sticking the landing but for me personally it doesn't ruin the entire experience.

I wish Dark Souls played a bit more with color. I feel like they kind of rely on that "the world is supposed to be overbearing and soul-crushing" to make environments that are mostly grey-green-brown.

Some of the areas are cool but some I'm just like "eh". Also, I don't know anyone who's like "Oh boy, an entire poison swamp area"

The gameplay in DS is top notch though and if you're losing constantly, it's because of your strategy and tactics, not reflexes.

It's because the days of beauty have passed. The cosmic horror / subtly lovecraftian / doomed vibe is the entire point. You get moments where the past world is either visible or insinuated, but for most of the trajectory of the three games its "You just missed it." and the worlds are in ruin.

Each of the three is dotted with some unique or pretty levels but they're meant to be solemn all the same. I know that's kind of what you're riffing against, but it was my favorite part. If you want to see what the same developers can do but actually goddamn beautiful at times, check out Sekiro.

I don't think they've been crunching for the last seven or even the last one year. Logically, they realized they can't make release via internal builds and the team had gotten massive draft lists of things still needed to be done and that was that. Studio director realized they need to delay the release, but are properly using crunch time to get it done by a certain time. As in, overtime pay, proper scheduling structure, etc if they are at all competent.

I don't think this is some situation like Andromeda where the team was left in the dark for years on what even the fucking story was all the while crunching from inception to "release" with tons of people quitting every quarter.

If it's a lost love, you just need to get over it. I know that sounds cold but time is the best cure. Focus on yourself; hobbies, health, attitude, mental wellness included. Try to become a version of yourself you're proud of that has some confidence and your romantic or physical relationships will only improve. But you said you tried all that, so I guess forgetting is the primary goal here. It's hard to suggest more without knowing the root of the issue for the broken heart.

Yeah those carts are dangerous. If it looks sketch, it is sketch, especially if the box has fucking nintendo characters on it.

They ran through the area in my city like a bulldozer and I know two people that got sick. Again it's not the juul pods or vape juice, it's the thc carts (or the makeshift juice in unlabeled bottles, even worse) doing this damage.

Then you're getting more milk, not more espresso. Starbucks has that crap down to a science and there's really no way to game the system unless you like more milk, water, or in the case of frappuccinos those with light ice comes out like it had been melting for two hours.

If you want to wake up in a hurry their best value is the Starbucks Double Shot, though it's off most menus its still really there. Gives you 2x more espresso than other coffee drinks from the bar. For iced drinks, get (any) refresher with light ice and no water. Same goes for iced teas.

Don't bother getting iced coffee, cold brew nitro, or fraps. Even basic hot lattes are 2oz of coffee and 14oz of milk.

They were definitely my top band of the decade. Saw them live four times, absolute banger shows every time. I will say though that their radio friendly singles, few and far between like this song, are worse than most of their other songs.

I dated a girl who claimed she wasn't a virgin, but looking back she absolutely was. She lived her whole life terrified of sex and barred from talking about it much with peers or parents. We dated for a few months. She was kind, but very clingy and didn't put out whatsoever. I felt the "I want to be married to you in 13 months" in her and got out of there. The two or three times we "tried" to have sex she claimed even 0.1% insertion was excruciating but I could tell she was psyching herself out mentally. It wasn't negative against me personally, just in her mind sex = pain/bad. She started seeing a specialist and was told to see a sex therapist as well and to do kegals lol. But I didn't stick around to find out the results. That wasn't the type of relationship I was looking for.

Last I heard of her she's dating a girl but that was all ages ago.

This is of course assuming all DLC and or latest versions, such as Scholar of the First Sin for 2.

For me personally, Dark Souls 3 is my favorite, but if Bloodborne ever got a 60fps version it would quickly go to that.

I went a month and a half without a job. It sucked. Not a single day felt like a day off to relax, even after I lined up a new job and was simply waiting to start. Penny pinching, making sure I could cover rent and bills, cutting out virtually all social life aspect and just being a shut in so I could make it.

It was a really, really toxic place to work for and I got fired for a ridiculously asinine reason but it happens. Honestly dude if you don't have the patience to even roll with the most insane customers, retail/food service isn't for you. I view those jobs with a level of disassociation and absurd humor. You have to sometimes.

After I ordered, I noticed they had my spicy chicken almost immediately available on these big heating grates. No big deal. Then, 0.23 seconds later as they're bagging up my order, I see the dude stock up an entire inventory of new fresh chicken. I bit into my stuff and it was cold and soggy.

I shed a tear. But I ate it anyway.

Speaking of which I have a question. Do people really scrub themselves with the bar of soap? At first I didn't think so but then I started thinking about it and I was like:

My ex did, she got exfoliating bars with like salt in them or something and rubbed them all over like a madman and then used her hands to lather. With bars of soap I get it because they're for lack of a better word, clingy and greasy (just like she was!) But with body wash I don't get it. That shit rolls right off with the water unless you use a sponge or puffball to get the lather.

I usually drink once or twice a week but when I do, it can get excessive. It's by far the most infrequent of my vices. I smoke nicotine every day, my vape is basically a chimney. I watch porn every day as well, and I know that's unhealthy. Last, the herb, which I only smoke at night for a few hours to unwind before bed but it feels like it does a lot of damage to worsening my anxiety somehow. Probably due to the dependence.

Anyway CE gets to pick which one dies first and then I'll talk about results for a week as I stick to it.

For me it is punishing myself mentally, expecting the worse, fearing the worst, and worrying about various outcomes of things before they even happen. Sometimes, during attacks, all of that at once. It's a bit better these days but at it's height I could wake up on a day off at 8AM and not work until 5PM the next day, and right in bed I'd be thinking "I wonder if I'll have a job tomorrow." and then the anxiety was just there to stay irrationally.
