It's that feeling of siding with the wrongdoing protagonist because he's, well, the protagonist. You sort of have to because you're objectively forced to look at everything through his perspective. It's like watching a mobster movie and getting angry when the feds start taking down the organized crime family.

Jimmy is a criminal lawyer who constantly breaks the law, and Chuck knows, and is trying to fuck all that up for him. Yeah, he's a paranoid schizophrenic ass, but he knows Jimmy is corrupt. And the viewers are required to use suspension of disbelief to recognize Chuck as a villain.

Even if you think some of the inteeview subjects are sleazy and hiding more than they're putting on, there is also still a clear bias in the doc.

It's still really enjoyable, but it really is pushing a particular narrative of painting certain figures in a specific light.

My therapist helped me understand I was on the spectrun due to environmental issues. I stopped going to school in 4th grade, and not going anywhere for years effected my socialization (which - by definition - doesn't just mean socializing with people, but is the way we learn to function in society).

As a result, I had the the aspects of Asperger's in adulthood, like being unaware of my surroundings and missing social cues. My 20s were basically spent acclimating myself and being more self-aware.

I played the first Assassins Creed, and struggled with the controls. And that's a big nope for me, so I put it down, and never played any of the sequels. Same thing with that game where you ride a horse around, climbing and killing giant bosses(the name eludes me atm).

Shadow of the Colossus. I really like the game, but can understand why people wouldn't like it.

And AC1 is hot garbage. The sequels weren't as janky and actually had stuff to do.

X2 is kind of weird. The whole aspect of finding the Zero parts and getting to the three special bosses is optional, but still complicated and doesn't really explain how it works OR the fact that they're missable.

SO works in a hospital pharmacy department. There aren't any frequent cases in this area yet...but even that's an issue. They've halted optional and non-emergency surgeries to focus on Covid preparation and testing, and general workload is seriously down because of it. Hours are being cut, and they were even briefly discussing furlough.

She doesn't think it'll lead to that, but other hospitals in the country have.

I never really understood the contempt towards ther series from fighting game fans

I've tried smash, street fighter, marvel vs capcom, tekken, soul calibur, skullgirls etc and smash felt the hardest to get to a competitive level in

Outside of maybe tekken. That shit felt impossible as well past a certain point.

Smash is actually the only game of that list I feel adequate playing against people in. But I've also put like 140+ hours into Ultimate alone, and like 5-20 in all the others, though.

I don't know if it's a traditional fighting game, but it's just as competitive as any other fighting game.

I used to watch the last bit of his morning show before Pokemon came on at 6:30.

He would tell parents they were risking going to hell for saying they were proud of their children because pride was a sin. Most of what I saw of the show was him hocking some holy water that helped with...whatever he came up with that week, it seemed.

Reading through this thread, most of you clearly have no idea what a bad movie is. There is bad because the plot is a mess or the acting is only average. There is then bad because it's syfy cheesy bad. But all of that is actually objectively watchable

This shit right here is bad. Not only is it nightmare inducing to the point it makes many genres of porn look like child's play, but the fact the director explains that this is some kind of film about oppression or some political BS, is just the cherry on top.

Human centipede 2 is also a truly dreadful film.

Bad Taste is pretty damn bad as well.

Dead Mary is awful as well. Though it's at least not offensive to the eyes.

See also Salo. Making a horror/gore porn flick is fine, but don't try to say it's an allegory of society or social commentary. Just make a trashy movie and don't make it out to be more complex than that.

Compared to other 80s sitcoms, the writing was a way better than most. It was basically just Taxi, but in a bar. It wasn't as corny or family-focused as much as the other ones at the time.
