On CE it seems to be. People here will shit on a game that plays fine because "muh story" and/or will praise a game that plays awful because "muh story".

Personally I agree with TC. A video game is first and foremost interactive. If interacting with the game isn't fun it doesn't matter if the story is Shakespearean.

Oh and this game showed me that Nintendo could actually do a pretty captivating story for Zelda games. I liked the voice acting, what little there was, and I liked the 4 champions. Anyone else feel like Revali kind of had a Falco personality? I liked him. The other 3 were good too. Although they really doubled down on the whole mipha + link thing. At first it felt like a reference to the funny scene in ocarina of time, but then they went full marriage betrothals.

Yeah Revali was a pretty interesting character. I like how he tries to be a badass and try and pretend he's the best but he knows Link is the chosen one and finally admits to it. But I like that his character never really changed throughout the game. He stuck to his guns even in the end. The rest were like "ohhh the chosen one" lol.

Can remember his name, but the Zora prince was funny as hell. I couldn't choose between him and Revail as far as my favorite main character. The rest were too predictable in their behavior interacting with Link to be interesting.

The only reason my job isnt shut down is because jobs relating to and directly impacted by oil and CNG (an energy source) production is because theyre deemed essential jobs.

As a Gen X I would say the OKC Murrah building bombing in 1995 was more of of Gen X's wtf moment. I was a junior in high school when it happened and we watched the news in class that day.

Whereas with 9/11 i was like 24 walking into a vendor's office at my job and the news was playing on the TV and I was like "wtf is going on".

Oil will come back around and so will drilling. Which then will uptick the price of gas. The US will not only never stop drilling for oil, as long as it's profitable, there is also more drilling domestically done for CNG than crude oil. A much better fuel source, that a lot of fleet companies, trucking outfits, and city maintenance, police, and other vehicles are/have been converted too.

Plus it is an election year. And with things not seeming to be a sure thing for everyone, the oil & gas industry always slows down around election time. It did back in 2008 with the election of Obama. The oil & gas industry is mostly conservative and they still tend to think, despite their industry flourishing during Obama's 8 years, that democratic, liberal candidates won't support them. So they slow things back, stack rigs out and wait to see what happens. Early to the end of the first quarter of 2021 I expect drilling for oil & CNG will be back up. And with it the cost of oil per barrel and gas per gallon.

I got into cooking a lot, especially after my first run through the game. I used eggs and rice a lot with different meats. Ate a lot of fish too, since they're easy to get in that one town that looks like its Nintendo trying to make Hawaii. (I forget the name.) Basically I had fun cooking stuff that I would actually want to eat myself, not just stuff that's good for in game buffs.

If you like cooking, doing the cooking side quest with the little girl in (ugh I am so bad remembering names) the town you first go to, for the story, after leaving the plateau is really fun and teaches you some interesting dishes.

Damn some of ya'll are so bitter. It doesn't matter what or why Trump/the government is doing this. Use the money for whatever best suits your needs. I didn't "need" the $3400 I got but I'm damn sure not going to bitch about what I got. It went all into savings. And when things get better and we can get out in public I am going to open a savings account for each of my boys so they can start learning how to manage money.

Honestly those games are probably more a boomer age than Gen X. I was born in 1977 and by the time I was going to arcades most of those games were pretty obsolete unless it was an old arcade that kept them around.

Id still see stuff like that in laundromats in the early 80s though.

4 is by far my favorite Resident Evil game; I tried to play the Xbox One port recently and wasn't a fan of the controls at all, so if we can get an expansive remake more in the vein of RE2 and less RE3, I'm all for it.

If RE4 is made with RE5 control options I would also play it on something else besides the Wii.

Lots of CE is bitter and that brings out all the things mentioned in the OP. I don't think anything is going to change that unless people want to change themselves. Being bitter about things out of your control makes you miserable and even more bitter. I don't know why people let that happen to themselves instead of seeking out some kind of happiness and not worrying about how others might have it better.

You've gone out for your job at least and the rare grocery run. I ran out solo for groceries(stock for a month) and that was like 3 weeks ago.

I'd like to go out less, as far as for groceries, but still most of the places here are still low enough on some common stuff that I don't want to (or can't because the stores put limits on certain items) or can't buy enough for three weeks at a time. So I end up going 2-3 times a week to a store of some kind for food.

But I get what you mean. We (my wife and I) use to at least get out of the house together to shop, but with the increase in social distancing we've decided that either one of us will go alone to keep everyone else safe. It sucks. We use to have a date night together once and a week where we get out of the house together now that the kids are old enough. But who knows when we'll get to go back to doing that too.

Both Walmart and our local grocer are limiting the amount of people allowed in the store at the same time regardless of whether people are trying to stay home or. Actually its probably because people arent staying home.

Both business tried to limit people coming in. Posting signs asking if at all possible to limit one member per household to come to do the shopping. Placed signs asking people to remain 6 feet away from others at all possible.

But Im certain (the other day saw five gals with a toddler all together doing shopping out of one cart) people arent limiting their behavior and business are having to do whats best for their employees and the customers. Which shows how selfish people are being in their behavior.

And itll only get worse Im afraid.

You, the account holder can't. That's why banks offer overdraft. I rarely ever use it but, I went from $500 OD like 15 years ago when we open our account to $1500 and I never asked for any increases. But since they can see I have steady income, and that income pay period has never exceeded that OD amount, they always know they'll get their money. Including the OD fees.

It's also worth noting that the "work till you die" mentality has been appropriated by a generation who already has a dismal mentality of earning a living, working a job, and making your own place in life. Most people that have continued in their jobs and are happy, even if it is financially necessary are also more than likely not the kind of people to turn everything dismal and doom.

If you've worked hard at one particular company and really moved up to a place within said company through hard work, than it's just as much of defining part of their character as is their home, family life, kids, wife, etc. The people that find purpose in their jobs tend to be the ones that work past retirement even if finances are not an issue.

Men need to ask for help when they need it. Blaming society ostracizes you for asking for help isn't a valid excuse not to ask for help. Yeah it sucks but you are still responsible for your own physical and mental health.

Now if this were an argument about government funded services being available equally to men and women then I don't know. There maybe a disparity there. But I promise you if you are paying out of pocket for services,rarely is anyone going to turn down cash for their services. And if they do based on your gender then you're probably better off without their services.
